#12: Hera's POV

[Hera belongs to my gf SerpentineWarrior because I love her and I want her to introduce us to her.

I sighed softly as I sat down to eat, the thought of Morro threatening Arlette was sickening.

I had grown up with someone who I knew wasn't so bad.

But why, why would he do something like this? Why would he hurt her?

I couldn't shake it away, I had to make sure she was ok.

"Arlette!" I called running towards her nest, "Are you alright?"

She woke up with a groggy look on her face as she nuzzled me softly.

"What's wrong Hera? You seem so stressed."

"Morro, he was here."

"What does he want? I'm scared."

"Don't worry, he won't hurt you. I will protect you no matter what."

Arlette sighed softly as she continued to nuzzle me, I was worried for her.

I was worried about the ninja, the ones I could consider family, I was really worried about Cole.

He was someone that had let me into his life, someone who I was happy.

That man and I had plans to get married and have a family of our own.

"Hera..?"

"Yess Arlette?"

"Your heart's beating fast, is something wrong?"

I wanted to tell her I was thinking about Cole again, but I couldn't risk it.

"I'm fine, just thinking iss all."

"Are you thinking about Cole?"

I blushed softly as I heard her giggle, "How?"

"Your heart's beating fast, and the only person I know who does that to you is Cole."

She was right, he was the only person who could that, and I couldn't deny those facts.
