Chapter 13

"Let's call it a day eh?" Lisa says slamming her textbook on the table

"Again, why did we spend time reading such a cliffhanger book, Jennie eonnie?! Explain!" Rosé whined

"You brats, there are more volumes in my room you could grab it on the shelf if you want

" Are you serious?! Why didn't you tell us sooner?" Lisa whined and went in her room grabbing 6 more volumes

"But who's gonna read volume 2 first?"  Rosé asked

"I have an extra book of volume 2 in my bag but then the rest I only have one." Jennie said, Rosé ran to her bag and scavenged through her things

"I'm borrowing this! Bye eonnie! See you tomorrow at class and at lunch." Rosé said grabbing her stuff

"And I'm gonna borrow all of these!" Lisa said and grabbed all six volumes

"Yeah! Bye guys." She replied not even looking at them leaving, and there she was flopped on the couch, alone in this very dusty, old, silent room, they didn't have time to do a clean up, so since she's free today, she's gonna clean. She grabbed the vacum, and some other tools, she grabbed her mask and tied her hair, then she started cleaning.

While cleaning, there were times when she hesitated to go inside Jungkook's room but in the end she decided not to, she doesn't want another argument especially because he just lost someone in his life, she continued to clean and replaced the  curtains and while she was on it she saw crack on the window

"Was this here before?" She murmured as she touched it, just as she turned around she heard a thud... The crack on the window got bigger, she looked down to see no one, but a rock is on the edge of the window

"Some jerks are throwing rocks here... What the fuck..." She said with a stoic expression, she changed the white curtains and replaced it with another one

Knock Knock Knock

A few minutes later there's a knock on the door, she rushed there and opened it

"Jennie!" Kai exclaimed with open arms

"Kai!" Jennie hugged him and let him inside

"It's been a while isn't it? Where have you been by the way? Not showing up in class for a week?" Jennie asked and let him sit down

"Ahhh... That... I--I was with my father in daegu this whole week, mom and dad is in divorce, and last like, Friday? He arrived from Japan and I promised him that I would stay with him for a week or so..." He replied

"I brought you some souvenirs, and your favorite cake!" Kai said and placed the cake on the table

"Hey, why don't you invite Jungkook to eat?" Kai asked with a smile on his face

"He isn't here... You haven't heard?" Jennie asked

"Hear what?" He replied

"His sister died, murdered, multiple stabs everywhere, and now he will be gone for a week, and I will be alone here. But, in the bright side, I know it's cruel to say but at least there wouldn't be a cold week for me." Jennie says preparing the plates for the cake
