Meet me at the tree please.

I'm sort of nervous for today.
The school's warning bell rings, signalling that lunch will be starting in five minutes.
My stomachs rumbles, and not from being hungry. I really don't even know why I am nervous. Taylor is just a guy, and I am just a girl who will have a talk, by an oak tree, and OH MY GOSH! I need to stop over thinking things!
I throw my books into my locker, as I turn on my heel I crash painfully into Sam.
" Hey loser." he grins as I poke my tongue he out at him.
" Hey I have to meet someone, so save me a seat."
He raises an eyebrow and gives me a questioning glance. "who?"
I blush and look away. " nobody! Just go save me a seat please."
"Okay, since you said please" he says mockingly, batting his eyelashes.
I laugh sometimes Sam is such a dork.
He grins like a monkey and waves as I lose sight of him in the massive sea of sweaty high-schoolers.

I walk over to the large shady oak tree and sit, Taylor hasn't showed up yet so I pull out my book the fault in out stars.
Hey don't judge me , but I love sappy romances and Ansel Algort is a babe!
Just as I start to get into my book, I hear a soft, deep voice behind me.
" Hey, am so glad you came." Taylor slowly sits down beside me as I put my book away.
" So what did you want to see me about?" I ask softly.
His gaze goes from my face to the ground and he doesn't say anything for a while.
Then he grabs my hand and looks into my eyes.
" Alex I really had a great time with you." he smiles. " You are so funny and beautiful and you make me happy, I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go on another date?"
I stare at Taylor speechless. Nobody has ever called me beautiful before. My heart melts and I have to kick myself mentally, DONT fall for him, love doesn't exist! A little voice nags me on the inside. It's just a date right? It's not like we are getting married. Right??
Instead of saying anything I just nod my head, and Taylor breaks out into a grin.
" Awesome, I really do like you, how about I pick you up Saturday at nine?"
Still there was no words, I slowly croaked out a feeble yes, and I watch as he nods leaving me by the wretched oak tree battling the forever coming thoughts in my head.
