hi the names hornsy, I am a shek from the island of Kenshi, and these are my misadventures, some are dealing with...uninvited guests and others are...running away from the local fauna with ancient valuables in tow and even forgetting to go hunting

the city of catun was an extravagant city during the start of the 3rd age, being that its the birthplace of the U.C, although that history was eventually forgotten through the years, it's legacy continues with the main currency cats being named after the once-mighty city, it has survived several sieges and plagues, and now its defenses are tested once again by a hoard of south hivers
advisor: lord Shiro, the enemy has arrived at an unfortunate time as its the time of year that theses less rainfall and the aquafer is rather low, also we didn't have the time to restock the emergency supplies and seeing that were surrounded, we cant get word to the other cities
lord Shiro: what does the hive ask for?
advisor: they want the skin-bandit leader savant alive, as well as the one who brought him here for the bounty
lord Shiro: the shek?
advisor: yes, he said he's the leader of a group of mercenaries calling themselves the "black-sand mercenary company"
lord Shiro: any information on this shek
advisor: he calls himself hornsy, we as yet do not know his real identity, he is also known as the people's hero and has helped out with mundane tasks here and there to the people of the hub and random starving bandits
lord Shiro: he must have a rather large workforce to grow that much wheat and water for bread
advisor: well his base is located north of the swamp and suth east of Squin one the lakebed next to the waystation
lord Shiro: he lives there? then how the hell does he get all that water
advisor: pipes from the swamp Mabey
lord Shiro: most likely
advisor: shall I have him brought here?
lord Shiro: yes
meanwhile, in the jail cells
hornsy: so...how do you think they're doing out there
savant: well seeing that an overwhelming force of bug men are at the walls I say not well
hornsy: well there hivers, not very good fighters
savant: but they do have the numbers
*advisor enters the room*
advisor: my lord wishes to speak with you
hornsy: if it's about the hivers and savant ive told you I'd didn't think they'd besiege the city
advisor: it's not that, my lord would like to ask you something
hornsy: hmm...alright
hornsy and the advisor then began walking out of the jail leaving savant all alone
savant: well...looks like ill be here for a while
as hornsy enters lord Shiro's house he notices that it's heavily decorated with painting, ornate sculptures, fine rugs, and small exotic pets.
lord Shiro: well nice to meet you Mr.horn
hornsy: well, nice place you got here
lord Shiro: well that due to us being the main export of leathers and a minor export of meat
hornsy: well if you want LOTS of meat I suggest going to the southen wetlands, the place is infested with swamp turtles
lord Shiro: ill keep that in mind, now onto business, i would like to hire your services for you to get rid of the hivers around the-
hornsy: thats gonna be a HARD task, its gonna cost you *takes a swig of sake*
lord Shiro: *leaning in* ill pay you double for what savants worth
hornsy: *onto lord Shiro's face*

lord Shiro: one apology accepted, two as long as the price of skins and leather doesn't go down we should be able to recover, though rationing would still be in effect and also make hunting more important
hornsy: well, looks like we have a deal *offers hand*
lord Shiro: I am expecting good things from you *takes and shakes hand*
hornsy: going to need some help though
lord Shiro: anything
back at the jail
savant: and the food was terrible, fish, fish and more fish I fucking hate fish
jail guard: yea all of them taste the same except smoked, now THAT brings out the flavor
savant: it was just plain cooked fish for me
lord Shiro and hornsy has entered the room
jail guard: my...my lord *stand at attention*
lord Shiro: release him
jail guard: but...my lord he's-
lord Shiro: do you want the siege to be over?
jail guard: of course *unlocks the cage and releases savant*
