Chapter Sixteen

Whipping my head to the left as I hear the sound of footsteps crunching on wet leaves and twigs out the corner of my eye I see Beth come running over attaching herself to Elijah's side sobbing " please don't banish me from the pack my family is here my friends...... you I know your angry I was so sure this baby was yours I know you were starting to fall for me as I have for you" I scoff looking between the two knowing my temper is vastly slipping I watch as Elijah pushes her away seeing her stumble back away from him makes my wolf stir is response she try to step closer again for Elijah to put his hand up "what the fuck do you think you are doing don't touch me your nothing but a dirty power hungry whore I don't want you never did you were just easy pussy to me" I snicker in response to what he has just said Beth turns her attention to me "what the fuck are you laughing at is one Alpha not enough for you. You need another one your the power hungry whore not me what's the matter Alpha Adrien not doing it for you so you think you can take Alpha Elijah from me !!" she shouts point her finger at me. " who the fuck do you think your talking to you slag get some self respect and fuck off before I do something I regret" she stomps her foot screaming how unfair this is like a damn child. I hear more footsteps coming from the right as I see Frankie approach I jog over to her she looks wide eyed at the scene before her I grab her hand and start walking with her "Kaye where the fuck are you going this isn't over I hear Elijah shout in the distance " you want to talk then get rid of the rubbish and I will think about it" i say knowing full well he can hear me we hear a powerful snarl and a shriek in the distance I pay no mind and just keep walking as I try to process what I have just been told.

We cross the boarders to Adrien's pack I starting running just wanting the safety of his arms. Sighing I know what I have to do and it is going to hurt me to do this i look between Adrien Andy and Frankie "so I'm guessing you all heard what happened" I ask as a loud clap of thunder bellows through the sky. Everyone nods their heads in response to the question I asked "can we please go to your house Adrien I'm soaked to the bone" I say with my voice cracking at the end. We all walk through the trees against the beating rain we all start running in the direction of Adrien's house as the rain gets heavier. I see the house coming into view as we run getting onto the porch we all stand waiting for Adrien to unlock the door we walk in one by one straight through to the kitchen. Everyone is standing around the island looking at one an other I walk over to the fridge getting the Jack Daniels out of the door and shutting the fridge I go into the cupboard and get out 4 shot glasses walking back over to the island I set them down and put the bottle with it " do you mind If I get changed Adrien I don't want to get sick is all" for the first time he looks at me and I see the redness around his eyes in that moment I know he knows what has to be done. "of course you can Kaye go get changed I will pour the shots" he says with a half smile nodding his head towards the downstairs bathroom "I will be back in a moment guys" I quickly walk through the kitchen to the bottom of the stairs where the bathroom is I go in locking the door behind me I turn on the light looking in the mirror I see just how bad I look my eyes are red and blotchy and I have tear stains on my cheeks I huff running the water I lean down and slash water on my face a few times then start to peel myself out of my wet cloths I stand there naked for a moment lost in through over everything that has just happened I blink a few times and bring myself back to the now. I reach down and grab a towel and start to dry my body then wrap the towel around my soaking wet hair I open my bag and grab an over sized tee shirt and my leggings and a fresh pair of underwear I quickly put them on and put my wet clothes the washing basket. Unlocking the door I hear what Adrien has to say about my encounter with Elijah.
