Chapter 36 - The Audition

Zayn's Pov:

~ School ~This morning I was walking passed the lockers when I noticed a sign on one of them. It said there is going to be a talent show! I've never really taken part in any drama type thing before, it's always been sports. I decided I'd audition, surprise Demi. Demi should audition too, she seriously has one hell of a singing voice! But, sadly, she's too shy. So I wouldn't wanna make her feel uncomfortable. I hope I'm liked by the school, for my singing. I know most of the students hate me because of my past but this is my time to prove to them that people can change. I just need to find a song to sing...or maybe I'll write one...

~ Audition ~

Everyone in the school was watching as I walked onto the stage. I could see Demi sat with Sophie. She looked shocked, really shocked. This made me nervous, what if I don't get through? I cleared my throat and took a deep breath.

Judge: Hello. Can you tell me your name and age, please.

Me: Er, I'm Zayn Malik and I'm 17.

Demi, Sophie, Leo, Daisy, Charlie and Harry cheered.

Demi then winked at me and mouthed 'Good luck. Love you'.

Judge: What are you gonna sing today?

Me: Er, a song I wrote about someone really special to me.

I looked over at Demi, she already had a tear in her eye.

Judge: Take it away.

Me: Thank you.

Everyone in the crowd was screaming and clapping. Wow! This felt amazing! Maybe people will like me! The judge then stood up. OMG!

Judge: You wrote that?

Me: Yeah

Judge: That was THEE best performance I have ever seen! You are something special! I'd definitely buy your records! You're girlfriend is the luckiest girl in the world!

Me: Thank you so much, sir.

Judge: You're through to the next round!

Me: Yes! Thank you so much you won't regret it!

I leaped off the stage and ran over to Demi.

Demi: Zayn, why didn't you tell me?

Me: Surprise!

Demi connected our lips and I spun her around.

Sophie, Charlie and Leo then told me that I did a great job.

Harry: Bro, that was sick! Why didn't you tell me you could sing?

Me: I sang to Demi when she was in hospital and that's what she woke up listening to. She told me I could sing. So I came on here!

Harry: Aww! That's so cute!!

Zayn: Hahah!

Two girls then walked up to me

Girl: Zayn? Please could you sign this?

What? I'm not famous? I'm just a random boy? She's known me for years? She used to hate me?

Me: Er, yeah sure.

The girls squealed.

Girls: Ahhh! Thank you so much!
