Hannah Dolan Today is the big day ... the 2019 VMA Awards! I've been nominated for two awards; Video of the Year, and Artist of the Year. Since my pregnancy began to progress I haven't really released many new songs, but I'm hoping that I'll be able to once this baby is out!
Anyway, I went for the soundcheck yesterday with everything going smoothly. All I have to do today is get ready, perform, and nervously await the results of the two awards I've been nominated for - I guess that's a lot for an 8 month pregnant lady.
I'm so lucky to have Grayson by my side. He's been so supportive of my career since we met, and I guess he gives me a lot of inspiration when writing my songs. However, most of my songs are about how teenagers are growing up in this society where they are told they have to be 'perfect", so I try and write lyrics to encourage them to just be themselves.

"The limo is here!" I here Grayson shout through the house. "I'm just coming!" I reply as I pick up my purse and look at myself in the mirror to check that I haven't missed anything, or forgotten anything.
When I walk outside I see Grayson talking to the driver of a beautiful limo.

"You ready to go?" The driver asks me. "Sure am." I reply as Grayson tells me to get in first. I'm honestly shocked by how pretty it is, I've never been in one like this before, like EVER!

"So we have to quickly pick up Mr Ethan Dolan, and then we will be on our way to the VMAs." The driver tells us.
"Hannah, you look stunning." Grayson says whilst looking me up and down. "Thankyou, you look pretty good too you know." I say giggling.

"I'll meet you two at the end of the carpet." I say to the twins as I'm being dragged in front of cameras.

As I make my way to the end of the exhausting crowd of press, I see Ethan and Grayson have already been dragged in.

"All done?" I ask sarcastically as they both walk over to me. "I guess." Ethan laughs. "That crowd is mental, like seriously, what the hell." Grayson says to himself. Me and Ethan just laugh. "I kind of wish Emma was here." I say. "Me too, but she's watching on the TV!" Ethan replied.

"Whatever happens, I'm still proud of you." Grayson says as I watch the nominees come up on the screen for Video of the Year. "And the winner is... Hannah Raine with Try." At that moment the crowd goes wild, and both the twins look at me with a surprised and excited expression on their faces. "Go get your award Hannah!" Grayson shouts.

"Wow! Oh my days, this is crazy! Thankyou guys so much! I just want to thank a few people while I'm up here. First of all, I wouldn't be here doing what I love if it wasn't for my manager Rachel, she's been there for me since the start, love ya! I guess I also want to thank my family for always believing in me and not letting my give up on my dream! I also want to thank Ethan and Emma, and also little Lucas for being there for me when times get tough. But I guess I owe the biggest thankyou to my husband Grayson," the whole crowd cheers at his name, "Grayson has been there for me none stop, ever since we've met he's been the most supportive person and always told me that I can't back away from my career especially because it's been a dream of mine since I was little. We're also expecting this baby next month, so yeah, great times ahead." I laugh, everyone laughs too, "I guess I just want to say thankyou for giving me this award, my first ever VMA. Thankyou guys!!!"

Phew, tonight's been a very busy night. I got the award for Video of the Year, and I also beat Ariana Grande for Artist of the Year. I'm very proud of myself, seen as these are my first ever VMA awards. All I have to do now is walk the carpet once more with my awards, and then I get to go home and go to bed.
