Ron peeked inside the doctor's door
And he could hear 3Gun's gentle snore
'Doc, CG told me that muffins would help.
So brought these from Myna's--
I can get plenty more.'
Doc smiled and ruffled Ron's straw blonde hair
'C'mon over here and sit in this chair.'
He cut open a muffin and with a serious face
Opened 3Gun' shirt and put it in place
'Okay? Now we'll witness their magical powers.'
Doc smiled, figured they'd sit there for hours
Ron asked, 'Do you know how it feels to get shot?
'No, son afraid I do not but I imagine it can hurt a lot.'
'Will he get better- like he was before?"
'Unless he goes and gets shot some more.
Are you askin' for you or your aunt CG?'
'Well uh, her too but mostly for me.'
'I want to be a sheriff when I'm old enough.
Arresting bad guys and all that stuff.'
'I thought you were worried about getting shot.
Bein' a sheriff, that happens a lot.'
3Gun stirred and he felt for his chest
Then he grinned, sighed and fell back to rest
Doc watched, amazed. Shook his head with a jerk
'Who'd believe Blackberry muffins would work?'
Little Ron also grinned.
So happy he had helped him.
"Hang on 3Gun. Hang on tight."
Now he's best get back to Leo Write.
