Lover's Hill
Petra and Buck slipped away from the crowd,
wanting to be alone, somewhere less loud.
Buck followed Petra,
who went straight to Rosetta.
"Need a horse?" Rosetta asked with a grin.
The fairy godmother strikes again.
Rosetta handed Buck a blanket and a tin
of Petra's favorite muffins - apple and cinnamon.
"Last but not least...there's one thing that you need."
She produced a bottle of honey lemon mead.
She slipped something to Petra that Buck couldn't see.
"Now, off with you two! Your whereabouts are safe with me."
"Do you trust me?" Petra asked in a solemn manner
"Of course I do."
She pulled out a bandana.
"Put this over your eyes.
So our destination will be a surprise."
Buck did as she bid and held onto her waist
as Petra guided Buttercup to the surprise place.
When they arrived, Petra turned and said,
"All right. Get that blindfold off of your head."
Buck looked about and his heart stood still.
He saw they were standing on the top of Lover's Hill.
Lost for words, he took the blanket and offered it to Petra.
She threw it around them both. "This is better."
They sat on the grass with muffins and mead.
Rosetta had given them everything they might need.
