On Our Way to County
CG took the helm,
As I was riding shotgun;
The other ladies settled in,
Ready to have some fun.
Rue rode up on Sixstar,
Everyone was ready to go.
"Giddy Up!" hollered CG,
"Let's get started with this show."
The morning sun was warm,
The birds were all alight;
Gossip and laughter filled the wagon,
It was a truly joyful sight.
Discussion and plans were made,
For all the shopping we would do.
It quickly became apparent,
We have one wagon, maybe we should have two.
My heart filled with joy,T
o see Rue laugh, with a smile on her face;
But the joy was short lived,
When Rue stopped in her place.
The laughter and smiles stopped,
I had seen that look before.
Rue was having a premonition,
She wouldn't be riding with us anymore.
