Chapter 43

"Violet ." Minerva finally got Vi to snap out of her gaze and chuckled .
"I did your work for you ."

"Wait really ?" Violet Raised her eyebrows in surprise as she saw her work sheet filled in with Minnie's handwriting .
"You didn't have to do that ."

"Well since you were staring .." Minerva explained , her cheeks slightly pink .
"And I finished mine . I thought that I should do yours as well ."

Violet smiled .
"Thanks Babe."
Minnie was ataken back by the girls words . Realisation soon dawned on the blonde girl as her eyes went wide .
"Wait ..-I ." Blushing would have been no problem, but what she did made her cheeks go as red as a beetroot and radiate heat like a hot pan. You could have cooked a three course meal on her face . No-one could have missed it. Violet wanted the earth to open up and swallow her whole. But there was no rescue from the embarrassment. It was absolute. Torture. Utter humiliation. It's the sort of memory that would be seared into her brain forever, ready to pop up and torment her again whenever she's in a quiet moment.
"Shit .." she muttered , covering her face with her hands.

Minerva started to laugh .
"Don't worry about it Vi , I've done it before ."

The bell soon rung , signalling the start of a new period .
"Ok .. thanks for doing my work . See you later bye ." Violet said quickly before packing her things up and rushing out of the classroom , running away from the embarrassment . How could one word make her feel like it was the end of the world .

The blonde saw the dread head walking out of his class . His large hand clamped with Clem's .
"Louis !" Violet yelled , clutching onto his backpack as he strode through the herd of students . The two detached their hands and smiled at violet , innocently .
"Wait up . You're walking so fast ."

"Sorry Vi ." Louis apologised and slowed down for the blonde girl.

Clementine eyed the blondes red face and raised her eyebrow .
"Oh god Vi .. are you ok ?"

"Let's not talk about it ." Violet replied coldly , making her way to music .

Louis looked at his girlfriend and shrugged .
"I'll see you after class ? At break ?"

"Yep ." Clem replied , smiling widely at the dark skinned teen.

Louis froze at her adorable face . So fucking cute .
"I'll tell the group then ." He said , waving goodbye as he entered his Music class . Clementines class was pretty much three doors away from his .

The dread head found his seat next to the red faced violet and sat down .
"Ok what happened ?" Louis asked , poking the embarrassed girl .
"You look like you dipped your face in soup ."

"I fucked up with Minnie ." Violet whined into her hands .

Louis sighed .
"It couldn't of been that bad ."

"Trust me .. this is going to torment me for the rest of my life ." She dramatically squealed as her muscles tensed up at the memory . Louis chuckled at her childish actions.
"She did my work for me .. and they I go and say something stupid ." Violet explained , her cheeks couldn't get anymore red .
"I said .. thanks babe ."

Louis burst out laughing , making Violet bang her head on her desk in frustration .
"Come on Vi it's not even that bad ." He laughed between his words .

"It is bad !" Violet argued back , her loud tone made some students glance over .

"When are you going to ask her out ?" Louis teased , earning a hard punch to his shoulder .
"Ow ."

"You know I'm not good at that stuff ." Violet groaned .
"Anyway when did you and Clem get together ?" The girl changed the subject quickly .

"How did you know ?" Louis asked , rubbing where the girl had punched him .

"It was obvious when you both starting holding hands ." Violet rolled her eyes at his stupidity .
"So when did you get together ?"

"Yesterday ." Louis answered .

"Ok quiet down !" The music teacher yelled , the class went silent as she explained the lesson . Suddenly , the classroom door creaked open and Sophie stepped through .
"Sophie , why are you late ?"

"Just am . Sorry it won't happen again ." She said as she took her seat . The teacher huffed and continued with the lesson .

"Oh my god ." Louis whispered into Violet's ear .
"She's looks awful ."

Indeed she did . She was broken now, shattered really, robbed early of the tape and glue necessary to put her soul back together. It was like her heart was poorly stapled shut, beating hard but without purpose, her skin stretched across her aching muscles like a worn canvas. Her mind was like a lost man at sea, desperate and starving for forgiveness . Desperate for a memory, good, warm, welcoming, one she could smile to.
"Yeah she does ." Violet replied , examining the sadness expressed from Sophie's body .

Now Sophie felt what Clem felt . Alone , broken , deserted . She almost felt like she was homeless .. guilt troubled her everyday . Every time she saw Clementine , her stomach churned . She wanted to hug the small teen and tell her how sorry she was . She wanted to scream for forgiveness . Even though Clem had told her , told her that she's forgiven, but Sophie still wanted to say sorry at her feet . She wanted to beg for her old life back , she wanted to change .

"Damn I almost feel sorry for her ." Violet added , watching how Sophie rested her head on the desk and fell asleep . The room started to chatter . The teacher had probably finished explaining the task .
"Well I didn't hear one bit ."

Louis chuckled .
"Neither ."

"So when are you going to tell the others .. about you and Clem?" Violet asked , not bothering with any of the work because she had no clue what to do .

"After this lesson at break ." Louis explained . He then smirked before asking a question to the blonde .
"So when are you going to ask out Minnie ." He asked again . He waited for the punch to happen and it did . She punched harder than last time .
"Ouch ..."
