Chapter 44

"You're what ?" Minnie complain , not believing what her ears had heard . Yeah they might've kissed before but she never thought they'd be together .
"Together ?"

Clem nodded , a smile spread from ear to ear . Gabe's brain stuttered for a moment as he eyed the smiling couple . Every part of him goes on pause while his thoughts catch up. Was I too slow ? Definitely. He shook himself to reality and forced a smile on his face .
"Congratulations." He cheered , sarcastically.

"Alright pay up ." Brody held out her palm to Marlon , awaiting for the £5 to be handed to her . Marlon growled shaking his head as he dug into his pockets to fish out the note .

Louis raised an eyebrow at the two exchanging money .
"You placed bets on us ?" He asked .

Marlon chuckled .
"Yeah . I said that you wouldn't get together because you're fucking annoying and .. no offence dude but you're kind of a pussy ."

"Hey !" Louis said with a serious tone . His expression then softened as he smiled .
"That is true ."

Marlon slapped the dark skinned teens back and chuckled again .
"Well done though buddy . I didn't think you'd have it in you ." The mullet turned to the small girl .
"Take care of him will ya ?"

"Of course ." Clem giggled , shaking her head at the bromance between her boyfriend and the blonde mullet boy .

"You're so small ."
Louis rested his chin on the small girl's head and laughed .
"Want to come with me to get a bottle of water ?"

"Ok ..?" Clem answered , her wide smile not leaving her face . She was so happy now a days . Louis grinned back at the girl , taking her hand in his and pulled her towards the food hall .

"I don't actually want a bottle of water , I just want to spend more time with you ." Louis admitted , wiggling his eyebrows at her .

"Wow.." Clem laughed , fiddling with the end of her school tie with her free hand .
"What did you do in Music then ?" She asked to build up a conversation.

"Nothing really , just the usual work sheets ." Louis explained , rolling his eyes at the memory of the boredom .
"What about you ?"

Clem groaned .
"Don't even ask." She replied earning a chuckle from the tall
Teen .

"Tell me ." He begged , opening the door for her .

"We had to play a tune on the piano ." Clem explained , thanking him as she walked through the door .
"Let's just say I did pretty shit ."

"Do you want lessons ?" Louis smirked , looking directly into her golden eyes .

"I don't know anyone that teaches piano." Clem sighed , this time she opened the door for him.

"Well you do because there's one standing next to you  ." Louis joked , winking at his girl . He thanked her and they continued to walk down the hallway filled with lockers .
"You can have lessons one day a week .. or everyday if you really wanted ."

A light pink colour flushed onto Clem's cheeks .
"Uh .. sure ?" She stuttered .
"How much are you charging me ?"

"It's normally £15..-"

"£15 ! Sorry Lou but I'm gonna have to pass ." Clem giggled .

Louis cleared his throat , his smirk still playing on his lips .
"Let me finish ." He said .
"But you can go free ."

Clementine snorted .
"Smooth ."
A few voices made her head twitch towards them .

Louis carried on with the conversation , unaware of the red head pushed into a corner of the hall way.
"I'm that good , you'll be better than Mozart in a few days ."

Clementine squinted her eyes at the scene , blocking out her boyfriends conversation as she moved towards the commotion . She was close enough to hear what they were saying .
"Clem ?" Louis tried to gain her attention again but she was completely concentrated on something else . He followed her gaze and furrowed his eyebrows .

"Don't steal her money Steph , she'll get mad ." One of the girls joked . Clementine managed to catch a glimpse of who they were mocking . It was Sophie . How childish can people get ?
"Look at her ." They were all giggling , laughing at the red head . She was petrified. Her watery eyes enlarged and the hairs on the nape of her neck bristled. A gaggle of goose pimples laminated her frigid skin.

"Go put some more makeup on and leave me alone ." Sophie growled , trying to push past the group of girls . That wasn't happening . They stopped her and pushed Sophie back where she was before , in the corner. The red head had lost her balance and landed the floor as the girls towered over her .'Stephanie' raised her arm high , positioning it so she could slap the poor girl . She clearing didn't like Sophie's comment .

Sophie closed her eyes shut , preparing for the pain to throw through her body . But to her surprise , she felt nothing . Clementine held a firm grip around Steph's wrists as she yanked her away from Sophie .
"What are you doing ?" She asked , the girls looked utterly terrified . After Clem had that fight , they didn't want to be in Sophie's spot . They had seen what a Clem could do .

"Clementine ..? We wer-" The girls were confused on why she was standing up for Sophie .

Clem rolled her eyes , shooing the girls away .
"Shut up and fuck off . She hasn't done anything to you , so leave her alone .."

The girls had moved away before they could reply , leaving the wincing Sophie on the floor with Clementine.

The small teen held out her hand to help her up . Sophie hesitated before sliding her hand into Clementine's grasp . Louis watched the scene in amazement .
"You ok ?" The girl with the baseball cap asked , Sophie was taken back by Clem's kindness .

"Why did you do that ?" Sophie questioned aggressively , snatching her hand away from Clem . Louis stood aside his girlfriend , placing a hand on her shoulder . He was afraid that Sophie might lash out .
"Why would you stand up for me ?" Her tone was raising slightly higher .

"No one should be treated like that ." Clem explained calmly . Louis was completely impressed by how huge her heart can be , he also felt incredibly lucky .

Sophie collected her things that were scattered on the floor , with the help of Clem and Louis .  The red head turned to the couple .
"Thanks ." She said bluntly before walking away from the two teens .

"You are very welcome ." Louis sarcastically replied quietly so Sophie couldn't hear .
"Anyway .. should we get that water ?" Louis snickered , pinching the end of the small girl's nose .
"I kind of want one now ."

Clem smiled and started to walk to their original destination.
"Yeah ."
