It was time to tell J-Hope you couldn't do this anymore, the feelings for him have been slowly fading away. You knew what you would get yourself into the moment you said yes when he asked if you wanted to be in a relationship with him.

You looked around impatiently. Searching for J-hope. He asked if you wanted to wait for him in the park today around noon. He hasn't shown up yet, which was strange. He was usually on time when it came to hanging out with you.
Suddenly two large, warm hands cover your eyes. "Guess who~?" a playful voice says.
"Hmm" you pretended to sound thoughtful. "I don't know... who is it?"
"It's me!" the voice said excitedly
You giggled and turned around to see it was J-hope. He smiles sweetly at you while his right hand was behind his back holding something. "Sorry, I'm a bit late" he says not letting that wonderful smile leave his beautiful face.
"It's okay~! You're here now" You said while eyeing the item he was holding behind his back, which he obviously noticed.
"So, what's that behind your back?" You asked curiously, looking up at J-hope his smile was still evident. But something seemed a bit different, he seemed... nervous?
"Oh, this?" His arm went from behind his back and showed a small box that was wrapped up nicely with a cute bow on it. "I bought this for you" he explained while handing it over to you
"Why?, it's not even my birthday yet" You joked.
"I know, just open it and everything will be explained" He ordered. His gaze was fixed on your face which was full of curiosity.
Untying the bow and opening the box there was another box inside of it. You looked up at J-hope with a clear 'are you kidding me?' look.
"Go on!" he hollered
You opened the second box and hopefully the last box, revealing a bracelet and a IPhone case. "Oh wow!" You said in awe. "It's so pretty!"
"You should examine the bracelet more carefully" He says with a grin.
You picked up the bracelet out of the small box and examined it just like J-hope
told you to do so. "M-my hope" You read out loud.
You were a bit confused at first but everything was starting to make sense now. "Wait, W-"
"Let me explain~!" He says, interrupting you. "We have been friends for a long time now, and... slowly but surely I began to see you more than just a friend, I wanted to confess my feelings for you earlier but now felt like right time"
You didn't say a word, still waiting for him to further explain himself.
"So, what I actually wanted to say was..." he trails off while fiddling with his fingers. "Will you be my girlfriend ___-ah?" He asks.
You smiled, not a regular smile. No. this was different. You have been friends with J-Hope for a long time now, you had liked him for a while but never imagined that he would feel the same towards you. "Yes Hoseok, I would love too" You answered, smiling even brighter than before. J-hope smiled too, happy that he finally had the courage to ask you and happy because you said yes.
You put on the bracelet, taking one more glance at it before hugging your boyfriend. "Thank you for the bracelet Hoseok-ah" You said before planting a small kiss on his cheek. "I should thank you, for being with me"

You thought that you and J-hope would stay together till the end, but sadly it wasn't until one year later that you realized that your feelings for him slowly started to fade. You didn't saw him as much as you wanted too, he had concerts to attend, music shows to perform at and when he did had time he needed it to rest, Which you completely understood but this wasn't how you imagined your relationship with him to be like.
You had texted J-Hope that you were on your way to meet him at his dorm, he responded with an 'okay' and saying that the other members were out to buy some groceries. You were glad that the other members were gone, you wouldn't know how to explain to them that you needed some alone time with J-hope without letting their imagination run wild.
You were standing in front of his door, taking a deep breath before exhaling. "This is it ___" You said to yourself before softly knocking on the door. It didn't take too long before J-Hope opened the door with a smile. "Hey ___ah!" He said while letting you get inside. "Hey" You respond. Nothing more, nothing less.
"To what do I ow this surprise?" He says with a chuckle before sitting down on the couch, patting the seat next to him. You were unsure whether you needed to sit down or stay where you are, but you decided to sit down next to him. "Hoseok" You say softly. "I...I think we need to talk"
As you directly looked into J-hope's eyes, you had a feeling that he knew what this meant. Starting with those exact four words never means any good news. "Okay, what is it?" He asks.
"I think it's time for us to separate" You say, still looking at him. You felt tears starting to form In your eyes but you did your best to fight them back. "I had a feeling this would happen" He confesses, a sad smile on his face. "I knew that the time we did spend together wasn't enough, it is all my fault and I am so sorry for that" a tear trickles down J-Hope's cheek, making you feel even worse then you did before.
"I'm sorry too, I should have known that the time we would be spending together wouldn't be enough for me to continue this relationship." You wipe away your own tears that you couldn't hold back anymore before giving J-Hope a small hug. "I will always support you Hoseok, I will always be there for you when you need me" J-Hope wrapped his arms around you, burying his face in your neck as he silently cried. "I will always care for you __-ah. Always" He says in between sobs.
You stayed like this for a few minutes, until both of you didn't feel like crying anymore and ready to finally let each other go. As you pulled away from the hug you saw that his eyes were red and puffy, yours probably too. But that didn't matter.
You stood up from the couch and so did J-Hope, a silence filled the room as you walked towards the front door. You opened the door and looked once more at J-Hope. "give me your hands" You instructed. He didn't say a word as you grabbed something out of the pocket of your coat, placing it in his hands. "We will see each other soon right?" J-Hope asked with a broken voice, his eyes fixed on your hand that was placed over his. "Promised" You say, revealing the bracelet J-Hope gave to you at the beginning of your relationship which was now placed in his hands.
You didn't say anything else and neither did J-Hope, you stepped out of his dorm and closed the door. More tears trickling down your cheeks with every step you took towards the exit of the building. "I will miss you Hoseok"
