Ah shit

This family weekend has not gone as planned

Like

At all

Here's the situation

Yesterday the plan was t go for a walk around the lake(my mom, both my aunts and grandmother)

I came with and hopped off he trip at the rental house because it's real fun over there and we play blackjack with my uncle which is fun

And then the plan was swimming at one

So a relaxed day

Anyways about an hour later my uncle has to go pick up my aunt(his wife)

Nobody thought much of it until my other aunt came back and she announced that my grandmother fell during the walk, like two houses away from my own

Then on everything has just been not good

Don't get me wrong, it was unfortunate but we were very lucky

Most elderly people who fall, they fall on stairs or on wood surfaces and break their hip and can't walk

My grandmother fractured her shoulder

Like the ball connecting her humorous or whatever

So she's in a sling and can't use her right hand which isn't great backseat that's her preferred hand

And she scrapped her knee pretty bad so it hurts to walk, but she still can

And it's tough standing and sitting so everyone is hovering her when she moves

And she bruised her face but she says that doesn't bother her

The toughest thing is nighttime, aka now

She doesn't like sleeping on her back

She's very antsy because she can't roll around like usual

In addition her sling isn't all that great either

And it has to be propped on a pillow so that's bothersome

And she can't really move because she just can't

It hurts to move and it's tough for her to do anything

So I don't know how she'll manage by herself

Luckily she doesn't have a dog to worry about walking anymore (unfortunately it passed a few months back. He was very sick and had a tumor in his nose so he was constantly bleeding everywhere making it look like somebody died)
so that's ok

Luckily my aunts are nurses so they know what to do

And they live nearby Incase she need help

It just messed everything up

It was supposed to be her weekend and it seems whenever my mom plans anything, she gets hurt or my grandfather did

One time we went to Disney and my grandfather had a heart attack
(he was ok but he passed in 2016 due to kidney failures I think)

So it really just makes everyone so cautious and not wanting to overload her but always by her side and ready to help her stand up

Which my grandmother gets very annoyed at

She really wants to prove she can sit and stand by herself but sometimes she needs help which is unfortunate

But the good thing is, it wasn't her hip so she will be able to walk once her knee heals up

It's a little scrapped but it'll be ok

I just hate seeing her like this

She needs help with everything and has trouble eating with a fork

It's like watching a toddler

Always making sure she doesn't fall again and making sure she can get up

And keeping her up to stuff

Like playing cards or just talking so she's not just sitting there on her birthday weekend

I feel so bad and I wish I was there

They (the walkers) said she sat in the street for twenty minutes

A couple did stop and ask if they needed help

That's when my uncle went over

And he picked up my aunt(wife) and my grandmother and drove to urgent care where they got X-rays and such

It's been a very stressful weekend and it's only Saturday

Also I feel like my cousin got drunk tonight because she was laughing more than usual

Oh well

ALSO

My aunts have been giving me alcohol this entire weekend (taste of wine, two different beers and a margarita) and it all tasted horrible

Honestly the wine was dry

The margarita probably had too much tequila

And the beers just tasted off

Also my grandmother didn't like that they were providing me alcohol

They wanted to be the cool aunts

Also my uncle taught me how to play blackjack so haha I can gamble

Man what a weekend

Alcohol, grandmother and blackjack
