Okay, so I got a hold of the book "I Am Malala". This isn't a rant, obviously.
I have a few things to say, but first, congratulate her for winning the Nobel Peace Prize! Hell yeah! You go, girl! Show 'em who's equal!
Okay: this girl is not just a hero, but a fricking great writer. I really really REALLY suggest you read it- I mean, I already know the story- but the way she describes it? You really need to read it. I wish it was in, like, the school libraries.
Anyways, what happened was that Malala's dad strongly supports education. They live in Pakistan. As you may know, the Middle East is... eh... A bit strict. They don't like girls to be educated. But, Malala went to school. When she was 15, the Taliban shot her- she survived. And now, she's a big leader. She won a Nobel Peace Prize! At 17!
Basically, this is just a gigantic Thank-You to her. I do suggest you read the book.
