Teaching has always been an interest of mine. I told myself that I would eventually become one. Math has always come easy to me. However, English has always been my passion. I was watching Freedom Writers and it occurred to me that I could teach however I want. Through a teacher that was well known here who retired my junior year to that movie I wanted to try different teaching techniques.
I was thinking of teaching sixth grade so I could help them find their voices or ninth graders so they could find their voice. In order for me to teach I need to know what intrigues each student and how I can get them to write about what they love. In order to find their voices they need to write about what appeals to them.
I write for sheer joy. I write to improve but if you look through the history of my writing I write about what I know most about, myself. I write about what I want to do and what makes me a better person, a better writer.

This will probably my main focus if I do ever become a teacher.
