Chapter 3: The Meeting, First Major Interaction

3 days later...

Instead of arriving at Music Core's studio at 10 o'clock in the morning, our group were pushed to go on an earlier schedule.

I even personally asked my apologies to the members since we all make up early for my sake, so I could arrive at the studio on time to meet my co MCs before proceeding to the pre recording of the show.

After arriving at the place, staff of Mnet assisted us, especially me. One of them talked to me.

"Sana-ssi, I'll take you to the other MCs waiting room, the others will just stay in your own waiting room for now." she said

I bid my goodbye to the members and told them to see each other later. Jihyo gave me an okay sign while they follow the other staff that will take them to their waiting area, as I follow the one who will lead me to the MCs waiting room.

We stopped infront of a frosted glass door, "We're here Sana-ssi, just go inside and feel comfortable, don't worry there is no camera inside." she smiled while gesturing that I should get inside.

"Thank you very much." I smiled at her before getting inside.I slowly peeked my head first before getting inside. I only saw one figure inside. I turned my back first to close the door first before I approached the other MC inside the room.

"Ah, annyeong haseyo." I said as I gave a slight bow.

"Ah annyeong haseyo." he said so I lift my head up only to notice Jungkook sunbaenim was the one inside the room while eating.

"Ahm, where are the others sunbaenim? Am I late or I'm too early" I asked to break the silence.

"You're just in time Sana-ssi. Minjae hyung just went out to talk to V hyung while Searon-ssi is on their wardrobe she said she had to change since her outfit didn't match the color of the dress code." he said and he continued eating his chips

I nod in response and made my way to sit on the vacant chair since sunbaenim was seated in the chair from the left side of the table near the door I strode pass by him. I am planning to sit three chairs away from sunbaenim to avoid eye contact since I don't know what to say.

The moment I take my seat I fell silent. The only noise that can be heard is from the rustles coming from the pack of chips sunbaenim was eating.

"Sana-ssi..." he paused "The script it was kinda touchy is it okay with you? Ah, I mean you have to call me and Minjae hyung, oppa so as Saeron-ssi and she said she's okay with it since were older than her." he explained

"Uh, the script got the wrong idea sunbaenim, I'm actually older than you." I shyly said as I focused my attention to the table infront of me hoping that he didn't get the wrong idea that I searched for him at the internet.

"Oh, you're my noona! Just call me Jungkookie then noona." he said

"Ah, let's just follow whatever the script say sunbaenim and act them out naturally." I replied then silence over took the place again

After a few minutes he broke the silence.

"You want some noona?" I can see in my peripheral view that he was offering the bag of chips to me. "It's banana kick my favorite." he added so I move to face sunbaenim only to find out he was getting another bag of chips from his backpack.

"Here, you can have this noona." and he handed the unopened nag of chips to me. I smiled shyly at sunbaenim.

"It wasn't necessary sunbaenim." while I was hesitant to accept the chips

He moved closer and placed the bag of chips in both my hands and then he returned to his original place. "I just feel on sharing." he said while smiling showing his cute bunny teeth.

I slightly bow my head in embarrassment, "Kamsahamnida sunbaenim."

Just as when I was about to open the bag of chips, Minjae sunbaenim and Saeron-ssi entered the room. So I just placed the chips in my sling bag and I stood up to greet the two.

"Annyeong haseyo." me and sunbaenim chorused which I didn't expect.

"Oh, Sana-ssi you're here. Sorry for being late since I have to talk to a friend." Minjae sunbaenim apologetically said

"Mianhe sunbaenims, I should have check the messages my manager sent me so I wouldn't have changed clothes in the last minute." Saeron-ssi said while bowing her head

"It's okay Saeron-ssi, Minjae hyung let's just do some sort of a practice running of with script." Jungkook sunbaenim said

"Since you both are new to being an MC let me and Saeron-ssi guide you. All you have to do is act naturally, don't be stiff, maintain eye contact with each other and be prepared for contacts like handshakes or being close to one another." Minjae sunbaenim explained and I just gave a nod as a response.

And after almost an hour practicing we immediately went out of the room to proceed to the studio for the pre recording.

Then we took our places infront of the camera and the screen which flashes our conversation. I stood beside Minjae sunbaenim and Saeron-ssi.

The director talked to us before they start the camera rolling.

"Just act naturally like you are talking casually with friends okay?" he said "Ne sungsamnim." we all replied "Okay, we're rolling in 3, 2, 1 action!"

Then we started doing and saying what the script had said. In the middle of our sort of introduction with the other MCs the director suddenly cut us off.

"Cut! There seems to be lacking ahhhmm, what about you, Solhyee-ssi and Sana-ssi exchange position after you Saeron-ssi shake hands with Jungkook and Sana-ssi with Minjae? Then you can shake the other's hand after the exchange and lastly shake your hands with Jungkook, Sana-ssi and Minjae, Saeron-ssi. Then that will be your position until the end of the segment." he suggested and we just gave him a nod

The camera started rolling again and we did as what we were told and continued with the script naturally even though it was touchy...

Finally we did the wrap in a flawless manner after the first take and the director told us to prepare for our stages with our groups since the performance will be next. Parting ways with the other MCs we went on our own ways to our waiting rooms.
