H-he Likes Me?

Y/N's POV

Before going to school, eomma and appa insisted that they wanted to talk to me. I had no clue of what they wanted to talk about so I didn't know if I should be nervous or whatsoever. They invited me in the table to eat breakfast with them since they noticed that I've been always skipping breakfast recently.

"Y/N." Eomma spoke. She sounded so serious so I quickly responded to her.

"Ne, eomma?" I asked.

"Your appa has something to tell you." She said.

"I know having a lot of guy friends is good for you since you're growing up and you didn't get much experience with guys in your old school." He paused and I nodded at him. "But still, you should know which to befriend and not. It's not that I'm scolding you, I'm just reminding you that not everyone should be trusted. I saw you and Hwall hug the other night."

"Appa, that was just a friendly hug." I explained to him. The scene of us hugging came into my head and I my heart couldn't do anything but to flutter.

Was that really a friendly hug?

"Even if that wasn't, I wouldn't care. You're growing and you need a boyfriend. I know Hwall is a nice guy, but I'm just warning you of the consequences you might encounter. Either way, I trust that boy so it wouldn't matter." He shrugged.

I don't know why, but somewhere deep inside me, I felt happy knowing that my very own appa, who should be strict towards boys, trusts Hwall.

"So are you saying that she can date Hwall?" Eomma asked him and looked at me teasingly.

"YAH!" I shouted.

"EOMMAAAAA! I CAN'T FIND MY NECKTIE!" My little brother shouted from the other room.

"Y/N, go help your brother or else you would not have permission to date Hwall." Eomma said and my eyes just widened at her.

"I am not interested, aishhh." I lied and stood up from the dining table and walked towards the other room.

"Well, you clearly aren't." Eomma said with a note of sarcasm.

I opened the door and saw my younger brother looking desperately for his necktie everywhere.

"Noona, why are you smiling?"

"Mwo? Me? Smiling? Ani!" I laughed nervously.

Was I smiling the whole time?

"Y/N NOONA IS SMILING-"

"YAH!!!"

And with that, I shoved his own clothes in his mouth to keep it shut for good.

Jaehan's POV

I was walking along the corridor with Y/N. It was a surprise for me that she went to school earlier. Usually she would go here in a rush because it was three minutes before classes would start. Hyerin said she couldn't make it early this time because of some errands.

"You will not believe what happened to me." She spoke. I looked at her and she smiled. Well, she seems so happy.

"What?" I asked.

"My parents and I talked when we had breakfast and they... they kinda approved Hwall for me."

"Jinjja? That's great! But that's nothing if you and Hwall aren't even dating." I told her.

"I'll figure that out." I was surprised of her words.

"Figure that out? Woah, where did that confidence come from?" I smiled at her but she just giggled at me.
