Okay so in the Shea Stilton books the main characters go to Mouseford University . This is a parody of Stanford University, one of the best universities in the US.
The University was (surprise) named after someone with the last name Stanford (it's really a touching story) so we can assume that in this alternate universe not only is the name of the University changed, but the person it's named after too.
Boom.
You see, the Ford part stays the same, therefore Stan which is taken from the word 'stone' is indeed the thing that is changed in this world as that is the origin of the surname.
The two thousands rap song 'stan' would be called 'mouse' in the Geronimo Stilton universe, which is weird because mouse also means man/mankind.
Anyway, this song is about an obsessive fan named Stan. It's the origin of the phrase 'we stan'
In the GSU instead of saying they stan something they say they 'mouse' it.
