The moment Rina woke up, she was able to see the truth that was staring her in the face. Of course, she had a sister, it was obvious to anyone who had eyes, and she had no idea why it didn't occur to her earlier.

She rose from the ground dusting herself off, still processing all the information she had received.

This time her brain was able to fit all the pieces of the puzzle, and she was very happy with the final answer.

Looking at her watch she realized that she had to hurry up if she wanted to meet up with Serena. She had slept much longer than she thought at first.

"Rina is everything okay? You are a bit late and you don't seem like the type of person who is ever late." Serena said the moment Rina arrived.

"Everything is fine. I just had a long day. A very long day, with a lot of things happening, bad and good. " She said.

Serena settled down on her comfortable chair ready to hear what had happened to Rina, but silence engulfed them as Rina wasn't sure what to say.

It was impossible for her to stop staring at Serena and trying to see how similar they were. If they had the same hair or eyes, anything.

Upon closer inspection, to a knowing eye, it was obvious that they were related. The family resemblance was uncanny once you took it into consideration as an option.

"You have mother's eyes," Rina said not realizing she was saying it out loud.

"What are you talking about?" Serena asked.

"You have our mother's eyes," Rina said.

"Our?" Serena said.

Not knowing how to explain it all or what would be the best thing to say she decided to be blunt.

"Yes, Serena, we are sisters! Isn't that great?!" Rina couldn't help but add.

Serena became very quiet and Rina feared that maybe she didn't want to be her sister, the sister of an invisible girl.

Once the first shock wore off, Serena asked: "How do you know?"

"I thought I should tell you everything that happened from this morning on, but I guess it would be better to tell you that part first. I met mum!" Rina said.

Incredulity colored Serena's face because although she tried her best not to lose hope she had lost hope of finding her family long ago and these pieces of information were extremely confusing for her.

Noticing Serena's shock Rina decided to tell her everything mother told her at once because it seemed like the best course of action.

When she finished, she didn't get the reaction she expected. There weren't any screams of immense joy, just a thoughtful silence.

"So she was watching us this whole time?" Serena asked.

It was obvious that she was angry beyond words and Rina couldn't exactly understand why. Rina was a bit angry at first, but she understood that they were trying to do the best they could for their well-being.

"Ahm, I don't think so. She mentioned the adoption registry, so I think that was how she found us. But do you understand we found our parents!" Rina said.

"Those people abandoned us when we were still babies! Is that what parents do? I didn't even know I had a sister! How could they do this to us!" Serena yelled disturbing some customers in the coffee shop and then lowering her voice.

"They are just people who gave birth to me! They are not my parents!" She said angrily.

"I told you, they were trying to protect us. When we see them again, I am sure they will explain all the details." Rina said still cheerful.

"Don't be so naive! She lied to you! They are cowards! You are not my sister!" Serena said.

That was when Rina started crying.

It was the type of crying that made it clear to other people that the person's heart was breaking into small pieces.

"Rina, I am sorry I didn't mean that. Of course, we are sisters, I just need some time to process all that. " She said laying her hand over Rina's shaking one.

"I thought... you wanted us to find them... You said... we needed to find our biological parents..." Rina said through her sobs.

"I know, I know and I did want to find them. But now that you found them, or at least her, all I can feel is anger. So much anger that I can't even understand where it is coming from. I guess I have been suppressing it for all these years and it had to find a way out.

I am sorry for snapping at you. None of this is your fault and you ARE my sister. I absolutely love the fact that we are sisters I just need some time to adjust.

Out of all the things we learned that is the one thing I am sure about, it would be great to have you as my sister." Serena said sincerely.

Her words managed to calm Rina down and as she wiped away the remaining tears she asked: " What are we going to do now?"

"I guess we wait for our parents to grace us with their presence," Serena said with bitterness in her voice.

"What do we do in the meantime?" Rina asked.

"Well, we try to find out as much as we can about our invisibility without our parents' help. I mean it's so weird, the whole family turning invisible, I have never heard of that before. But you mentioned that a lot of things happened today. What else happened?" Serena asked.

Then Rina went on to fill her in on all the things that happened that day.

"Wow, you weren't kidding when you said a lot had happened. What are you going to do about that?" She asked.

"What can I do? I'll go and pack my things and try to find an apartment. Hey, we can live in an apartment together. It would be so much more convenient!" Rina said.

"Hm, that's not a bad idea, especially because of our invisibility," Serena said.

Rina was ecstatic about the prospect, but she tried not to show it too much because Serena was still digesting the idea of having a sister.

For Rina, it was a dream come true. She would actually live with her family, with a person who sees her and appreciates her for who she is.

It was something she thought she would never have again and even though the day was a roller coaster of emotions she couldn't help but feel content at the resolution of the day.

"Okay, go home and start packing and I will look around for some apartments. If we are lucky, we might find something cheap." Serena said.

"We don't have to worry about the price. The amount of money my father, my adoptive father, left me is quite large. We just need to find an apartment as soon as possible. I can no longer stand being in that house.

I can feel how unwelcome I am and honestly, it's making me sick. They do their best to subtle show me that they don't want me there, and I am sick and tired of it." Rina said.

"Don't worry. I'll think of something." Serena assured her as they said goodbye in front of the coffee shop.

Going home after what happened that morning was true torture for Rina, but knowing that it would all soon be over made it a bit easier.

The realization that she had Serena in her corner also helped, and she strode in the house with more confidence than she ever had.

"You are late." A cold voice said.

Of course, she would say that Grace was too eager to get rid of her to allow anything to slow down the process.

"I was looking for an apartment." Rina lied without a moment of thought.

"I'll go to my room and pack now, and as soon as I find an apartment I will be out of your hair." She added.

"Great," Grace said.

"Great," Rina said and went to her room.

There she packed most of her things faster than it was humanly possible leaving only enough things for two days. She thought two days would be enough for her and Serena to find a place of their own.

She felt like she would miss the place. After all, it was her home for eighteen years.

So she went around her room in a weird quest to say goodbye to every nook and cranny of her sanctuary.
