Gabe's POV:
I began to wake up as the sky outside indicated that it was morning but still really freaking early. Like maybe six in the morning I guess. I looked over to see my beautiful wife fast asleep and still holding on to me as she made her adorable snores like she always does and I couldn't help but smile. I was about to go back to sleep as I then heard a knock on the front door from downstairs. Luckily it was quite enough not to wake up Clem or AJ as I snuck my way out of Clem's grasp and went downstairs as quietly as possible. I open the door as I saw James on the other side as he said, "Hey Gabe." "Hey, James. What's up?" I said rubbing my eyes from still being tired. "Listen, Ray had to ca...." He said kind of loudly as I shushed him and said, "Be quiet. Clem and AJ are still asleep." "Oh sorry. Anyways, Ray had to back out of lookout. He said he had something else to do or something. I don't know. Anyways, mind if you take his place?" He asked me in a quieter time as I just rolled my eyes at the mention of Ray's name. "That fucker is good for nothing. Sure, I'll give you a hand." I said is he nodded and I went back upstairs. I walked back in the bedroom as I couldn't help but smile at Clementine's adorable sleeping face. I decided to write her a note as I stuck it to the lunch box, gave her a soft kiss on the forehead, and left with James to do the job Ray was way too arrogant to even do.
Clem's POV:
I woke up the next morning to the feeling of Gabe not being there next to me. I didn't look at the lunch box on the dresser as it now had a note on it. I got myself out of bed, walked over to the dresser, and picked up the note as a read, "Sorry I'm not there, sweetie. James just told me to help him with lookout. I love you, sweetheart. And tell her baby I love it too. With love, Gabe." I smiled at the note as I then held my baby bump and said to it, "Daddy loves you, sweet pea." fulfilling his goofy request. I don't put on my hat and jacket and went outside to enjoy some fresh air and bask in the sun light. I mean I can still move around even if it feels like a bowling ball is forming in my stomach. I sat down at one of the benches near the apartment complex is that spike gave me a good view of my husband doing his lookout work. We noticed each other and smiled from afar as we both waved to each other from that distance.
Just minutes after I sat down, Sophie sat right down next to me as she said, "Good morning, Prego-sister." "Good morning to you too, Sophia." I said is I placed my hand over my baby bump. "So where is Gabe?" She then asked me. "Oh he's over with James doing lookout." I answered her. "Funny. I thought that Ray had lookout duty with James today." She said sounding a bit confused. "Who knows. Honestly, Gabe and Ray need to start getting along. Ray seems nice, but what he did has made Gabe bitter of him." I said. "Yeah, their back-and-forth arguments are giving everyone in Haven a damn headache." She joked as that made both of us left. "So, how has your pregnancy been since we last talked?" She then asked me. "Well lucky for me, I didn't have to throw up this morning. But I think I really need to pee soon." I responded. "I've been there. It feels like the baby is kicking on our bladder, doesn't it?" She asked me as I just gave her a nod. "It sucks now, I know. Been in a few short months, it'll all be worth it." I said with confidence as she replied, "Amen to that, Clem."
"So, it's five more months to go for you, huh?" Sophie then asked as I replied, "Yeah, and only three for you." "Yep and if everything goes good, my baby's going to be born in May. And you are going to have a July baby on your hands." She then said. "Well, July or August. Either way, I'll be giving birth over the summer while you'll have a spring baby." I said is she just smiled and replied, "Yeah, that's right." There was a brief moment of silence before I heard her say, "I hope it's a boy. My baby I mean." "Why do you hope it's a boy?" I asked her. "Because if it's a boy, that way I can name him after his father. And I always wanted a son." She said is I could feel her sadness once she mentioned Thomas. "I'm still sorry for what happened to him. He deserved to be alive and to see your child." I said with remorse. "I wish that too. I hope our baby looks like him too." She said is I felt a bit melancholy to say the least.
"What about you Clem? What do you hope your baby will be?" She then asked me as I thought about it for a moment. "Honestly, I don't care what the gender is. I love it with all of my heart and soul whether it's a boy or a girl." I asked her. "But if you had to choose one?" She tried asking again. "Either would be great." I repeated my answer as I then looked over to see Violet in Minerva talking over near the cafeteria. "My sister told me that she and Violet want to have a child as well." Sophia then said looking at them as well. "Yeah, Violet told me the same thing. I guess fever is going around." I joked is Sophia giggled before replying, "I don't know how it would be possible for them, but I want my sister to be happy." "It wouldn't be that hard for them. They would just need a donor. Like Ray or James or hell, maybe Louis." I told her as she scarfed and replied, "Yeah, I don't think they would want Louis as a donor." "Yeah, you're probably right. I think the last thing Violet would want is a baby like Louis. Always making stupid jokes and shit." I said as I then heard Ray call out to me, "Clementine! Over here!" "I have to go. Ray is calling me." I said as she replied, "Yeah, I know. I have ears too. Catch you later then." We both waved to each other goodbye as I walked over to talk to Ray about whatever he wanted me for.
