Chapter Forty-Five* DENIAL

Start from the beginning

"you gonna do something with them?" with that he punched me straight in the mouth/jaw. Grunting in pain and panting, he hit me again, and again. Thick blood dripped from my mouth onto my clothes and the floor. He hit me again, causing blood to fling all over my shoulder. Looking at him he punched me again and my head went flying backwards. Facing him, he had my blood all over his cheek and forehead. Spitting the blood out, one of my back teeth flew out with the blood and onto the floor. Laughing at him, this just angered him and he hit me in the eye and the jaw again.

"you hit like a 10 year old bitch, HIT ME PROPERLY." I would say hit me like a man, but first we all know a woman can also hit as hard as a man, like my mom, and secondly, he was anything but a man. Screaming he punched me straight in the eye which caused the chair to go flying back, causing my head to hit the floor knocking me unconscious.

"hey baby." Smiling I looked up at my mom playing the piano and watched as my father leaned across it smiling at her.

"hi mom." She played, From here to the moon and back by Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton (link attached above). Singing along both my father and my mother sang. Singing along with them, we were now in a room of white, they were both slow dancing to the song. My mom was in a stunning red ball gown and my father wore his posh suit. He had a red tie on which matched moms dress. They both starred into each other's eyes and smiled. I was sat there singing to the song they danced too. I watched, sang and felt the tears roll down my cheeks. Wiping the tears away, I looked down at my hands which were covered in blood. The blood didn't phase me, I just starred at it then looked back at my parents, they stopped dancing and turned me.

"Alex... I love you to..."

"WAKE UP BITCH." I jumped as they disappeared mid-sentence and I was back in front of Olinkskey.

"to the moon and back." I smiled and started to fall back to sleep. Grabbing my face one of his men dumped a freezing bucked of water on me. waking up fully I growled.

"now now Alex, you can't fall asleep, we have work to do."

"what do you mean?"

"as I said earlier. I am going to help you go through the stages of grief. The first stage is Denial." He smirked

"and I told you, you can't break me."

"we will see about that." He then pulled my chair around so I was facing the blank wall. A video was projected onto the wall. Focusing my eyes onto the clip, it was footage from a CCTV camera. Wait a minute... that's when I saw them. My parents had run past the truck in the middle and disappeared.

"tell me, do you remember that night?" he asked.

"of course I remember killing every single one of your men." I lied. I had major blanks in my memory, especially my parent's death. I couldn't remember them getting shot or dying, I just have flashbacks of the screaming.

"well let's see if this will help jog your memory." Injecting a needle into my arm I started to phase out and the images enhanced in my head.

He fast forwarded the clip onto the moment the shooting outside occurred. Playing it I watched as three figures appeared. My mom, dad and I.

Flashback.

"let's go." My dad ordered. Running out of the building, all the girls we rescued followed us and waited for our instructions. Shooting a few of the Russians who were patrolling the doors, we exited and made our way outside. My dad pointed to a small ally way.

"girls, run in that direction, and you will see some soldiers." Not questioning him, they all thanked us and ran away.

"what's the plan dad?"
