Alex's P.O.V

"Arrested?"

"Mom, get over it."

"Alexandra Phoenix Hunter" she stood up giving me the 'I will fuck you up' glare.

"Hey daddy" I smirked and ran up to him and jumped onto the couch he was slumped in. without any words we did our impossible handshake we made up years ago causing us both to laugh and hug.

"you stink of beer." He clenched his face

"Why don't you ever punish your daughter, Phoenix?" she finally gave in and leaned on the piano.

"That's your job" he joked around

"Actually it's both of your jobs" I butted in "but seeing as you only see me like once a year, I decided to start punishing myself for you" standing up they both eyed me confused.

"With alcohol?" she sarcastically replied annoyed

"You wish you only saw us once a year." My dad reacted calmly, nodding that I agreed with his statement, I stood in my starting stance, and started fake punching the air as if someone was fighting me.

"I train more than you know, I train so much, that no bastard can lay their fingers on me, alcohol is just a way to calm me down"

"LANGUAGE, and there are other ways to calm you down than drinking" my mom tried to act stern, but we all knew it was an act she wouldn't keep up.

"You're our army baby, no one will even come close to you anyways, and they would have to get through us first." My dad eyed my moves, watching me very closely.

"But when I go on missions myself, I will be ready... I am ready, I'm ready now."

"That's if you do. Remember baby, we may be a part of the army, but this isn't your only option for the future. You're talented in so many ways, keep your options open." She smiled and sat at the piano and started to play. I noticed my dad's eyes smile as soon as she started to play.

"I know momma, but I love to fight, and what's better to fight for my country?" I stumbled into the kitchen and grabbed the pasta I made the other day and started to re heat it for my parents.

"So, how was work?"

---

Music playing in the background, the famous 7 were all sat in my back garden, stumbling out I rubbed my eyes and made my way over to them. "Do you have to play the music so fucking loud" I rolled my eyes. My dad hit me on the back of the head, not too hard, more as in a playful matter causing the boys to laugh.

"You need to stop with that language or we will ground you for a week." He attempted to threaten me

"You won't even be here when the week is over anyways, and who gets grounded these days?" I sarcastically answered.

"Baby, you know we don't have a choice..." my mom kissed my cheek and handed me a glass of water and some aspirin.

"Yeh, yeh, yeh. Anyways, what's the new mission? Fill me in." I sat next to where the rest were huddled looking at something.

"Before you get into that, come on." My dad stood up and threw me the gloves.

"You're making me fight hung over?" I cried pissed off

"Teaches you not to drink."

"Fuck that, I'm out" with that I stood up and started to walk towards the double doors. But my mom decided to block them. Great. By now the rest of the guys were stood up walking towards me.

"Seriously? 7 against 1?"

"We want to see how good you really are." With that they all started to run towards me. Fuck.

Let's just say, this fight wasn't a pretty scene so I'm going to fast forward some scenes...

Getting punched in the gut, I was on the floor puking. They all huddled over me laughing. "Doesn't taste good coming out does it." Ignoring the comment I did a low 360 turn using my foot to cause them all to fall as I jumped back up. Jumping onto Mack's back, I did a flip and punched Ian as he got back up. As I did this my dad grabbed me from behind.

"Always watch your back."

I elbowed him and got out from his hold. We were all bleeding from some place but I was seriously getting pissed off now. Imagine getting punched by 7 grown men in the army. Even my mom had to walk away. I got punched in the jaw so much I lost count.

By time the fight had finished we were all on the floor breathless and in pain.

"How the fuck can 1 girl pin us all down." Dawson shouted causing me to smile.

Standing up they all eyed me in a frustrated but proud matter.

"I told you, I'm a good fighter." Helping them up I handed them all new beers and jumped into the pool to get the mud off my clothes.

"She is good; I got to give you that. Phoenix, you trained her well." Ian nodded

"Start them young, it's the best way."

"You know who she reminds me off, that little girl from kick ass, minus the killing parts." Jay added.

"I heard that!" I could see where he was coming from to be honest.

"Yo Alex..!" turning around, Blake called out to me as he walked into the garden.

"Blake" I questioned as I got out of the pool and moved my hair back, he started to smile causing me to reflect his emotion. "What's up."

"Came to say thanks for last night."

"What did she do last night...Blake." My dad chirped up.

"Don't you guys have work to discuss?" I threw back at him. Grabbing Blake's hand I dragged him inside and up to my room.

"I will never not be scared of your dad and his pact." He uttered as he jumped onto my bed.

"They're all softies at heart." I replied as I grabbed my shorts and crop top from my closet. Walking into my en suite I left the door open so I could hear what Blake was saying, and got changed.

"I only got a warning for the noise."

"What about the drinks?"

"They had no proof that I purchased it, so I didn't get in trouble for that."

"You have to be careful with parties, the amount of trouble you can get in, isn't good, for you and your family." Walking out I walked up to my bed and laid down next to him.

"Are you okay? You're bleeding." He analysed my face and the bruises that were soon going to form.

"I'm fine; you just missed my training session with them all."

"All 7?"

"Hell yeh, go hard or go home." I wiggled my eyebrows as he looked straight into my eyes.

"You need to look after yourself." With that he moved my hair back behind my ears and kissed my cheek.

"It sucks that we are in this position." I sighed as I laid onto my back looking up.

An hour had passed and Blake ended up leaving to go to work. I made my way back down into the garden and sat next to my dad who offered me an ice pack.

"How bad is the bleeding?"

"I should be asking you lot that." I smiled and looked down at the paper work."New mission? When you leaving?"

"0500". Brennon replied as he typed on his computer inputting the data.

"How are you going to approach the situation? You can't just wait for them to drive the van to a location. There are so many risks of getting caught."

"We know, that's why we need someone on the inside. They are trafficking children and young teenagers, so we are looking for someone eligible who can plant the device in the truck so we can track where it goes. My dad explained.

"I'll do it!".
