The Knight
You helped me break down my walls,
But as time goes by you became my reason to build it higher.
I built a wall that I can't even break until forever,
I tried to go out but everytime I do my tears drop as the rain falls.
I lost my hope as I try harder,
But there came a worker who helped me break it like no other.
You came in my life to break me apart,
But this one came to pick up the pieces that you broke apart.
Who are you? How did you find me?
How did you break my walls so easily?
And to you, why did you leave after helping me?
Why do you have to build the walls within me?
Am I willing to trust again?
Because I don't think I can be hurt just then.
I gave you a doubtful face,
But you looked back with an assuring face.
You lend me your hand,
I don't know but I took and held your hand.
"I am your Knight but you tend to forget me on your joyful nights."
Now I remember you, you are the knight that gives me light on my darkest nights.
