Chen's POV

There. I said it.

Phew, I've been trying to hold this in throughout the hold day. I feel like I've just ran a marathon. I can't control my breathing. My arms are aching and my knees are bruising from the ground.

I think I'm losing circulation.

How long is she gonna keep staring? We've been at this for a while.

"Um, Nami?" I called out to her, "A-Are you okay?"

She opened her mouth but only manage to say something like 'uhhwhrehhf' then shook her head quickly.

"Why? Was my speech not that good?"

She shook her head again and stared at the ring like it was a bug.

I peeked at the ring in front if me, "Is it not pretty?"

"I-I-Its not t-that...its..." she stuttered.

I raised my eyebrows. "Its what?"

She was trembling in fear so I knew something was wrong. Does she really hate my proposal?

She pointed her finger at me slowly, "O-On your shoulder..."

"Huh?" I looked over to where she was pointing at and saw a dark, oval shape creature with tiny little legs. Without knowing what it was, I screamed out loud and jumped while violently brushing my shoulder off.

The ring flew put of my hands and onto somewhere in Neverland. But thankfully that thing was off of my shoulder and on the floor as it crawled away.

"What was that?!" I exclaimed.

"What do you mean 'what was that?' That was a bug!" Nami shouted back.

"Oh," I sighed in relief. "I thought it was something else."

"Yah! How can a bug not scare you?!"

"Well we're outside and in the dark so I at least expected it, especially in this weather." I mean it did kinda startled me.

She scratched her head furiously and stomped with her leg, "Aish..." she mumbled.

"I heard that." When I relaxed a bit more and thought about kneeling again, I cluelessly searched for the ring, thinking it was in my pocket. "Wait. Where's the ring?"

"You lost the ring?" I hear Nami ask.

I cursed under my breath and start to look for it everywhere. While searching, I glanced behind me and saw Nami trying to find it too. She crawled under the table and accidentally hit her head in the process. I chuckled to myself, she's so cute.
