"I am so sorry." He says one more time as we pull away from the hug
"It's okay. You didn't know. No one knew. I wouldn't tell anyone not even my friends" I say not crying anymore
"Did Zach know" he asks
"Yes... he knew the whole time. He was the only one who I would tell. He was really the only one who could tell I was upset therefore he was the only one who asked what's wrong."
He starts to get frustrated and starts getting his crutches and standing up
"Where are you going" I ask
"You shouldn't be with me. You deserve someone better. Someone like Zach. No wonder you've liked him for so long."
"What are you talking about??" I say standing up as well
"He knows you so well. He knows how to tell when you're upset. He's the one you should be with"
"I don't want to be with Zach anymore" I say walking to Jack
"But you should be with him he understands you more than I ever can" he says turning away
"He understands me as a friend. If he understood me so much he would've been able to tell that I liked him. It wasn't hard to be able to tell I was upset he was just the one person who I spent the most time with. The person who You spend the most time with should be able to tell when your upset and for him he could tell." I say holding onto his crutches so he can't leave
"But still"
"But still what."
"I will never be able to understand you the way he does" he says walking towards the door
"Where are you going." I say
"On a walk I need to think right now" he says
"Jack don't do this. You can't even walk" I say walking towards him
He turns around
"I'm sorry" he says
"It's Fine now sit down. I don't care how Zach understands me. I dont like Zach anymore. I like you. He understands me as a friend. You understand me as boyfriend. There's a difference" I say
"What's the difference"
"A friend should know when you're upset a BOYFRIEND should be able to comfort you when you're upset"
"I rather comfort than know"
"Exactly now come on you know I like you and want to be with you. So don't say I deserve someone like that"
"Okay okay I should probably do my homework now"
"Yeah you probably should" I say
"But it's all the way over there" he says whining again
"Jack!!!"
"Sorry I didn't mean it"
"Ugh I'll get you your bag"
"Thank you"
I get his bag and he does his homework.
