"Wow. You really pulled it off though," he narrowed his eyes at me. "By the way, I'm never going to trust you. You should deserve an Oscar for that innocent expression."

I shoved him playfully, "Oh, c'mon. It was only more convincing when Xavier said that part about all of it being a prank."

"Girl, be careful. Don't eulogize him too much. I'm afraid his ego will just burst from how much it's swelling."

"Shut up. You're just jealous," Xavier grumbled, his lips twitching upwards slightly.

Woah! I actually got an almost-smile from Mr. Emotionless. Where's my award for the great achievement?

Will you shut up and stop with those stupid nicknames. Ah! I was wondering where my conscience had gotten to.

We did our warmups - Blake decided to join us, as he was and I quote "Bored as hell". When I asked him why the hell wasn't he doing the pushups like the rest of the class, he just shrugged and said that he already completed them. To say I was shocked was an understatement. Well, I guess those were not fake muscles after all.

Xavier too, completed the pushups in just 10 minutes. Like, how the hell did he finish 70 pushups in just ten minutes and not break a sweat!

By the time I finished, the bell rang and I was left completely exhausted with pools of sweat clinging onto me. I guess it was time to shape up.

My muscles felt sore as I let the water from the showers run down my body, cleansing me from all the sweat. Next period was Lunch. Oh, thank god. I was ravenous. Even more than usual today.

As I fantasized about a yummy barbecue sandwich with ketchup and chilly mayonnaise sauce dripping off it, I bumped into Rebecca.

"Hey!" she said brightly. "What are you gonna eat today?"

"A barbecue sandwich!" I licked my lips and rubbed my stomach as it gave a hungry growl.

"I'm just gonna get a fish and chips with coleslaw."

Today was Special Food day that comes around about once in two months. Yeah, our school was pretty awesome that way. The school board, at the insistence of the principle, would take suggestions from a huge number of kids about restaurants. They will then order the most famous and recommended food from the chosen restaurants and sell it in our school in the cafeteria. If we're lucky and if the principle thinks that we earned it, then it may last for two to three days.

Sometimes I really love my school.

I got my barbecue sandwich exactly as I had imagined with French fries as a side dish. I bought a passion fruit and Oreo cheesecake to go with it.

Taking my plate to our table, I dug in. Oh my god, the sandwich was really good. Delicious. Scrumptious. I didn't have words to describe how good it was. Yeah, I was really hungry today.

Blake and Xavier joined us. Blake had bought himself a Beef Steak burger while Xavier was eating the Ultimate Angus Classic BBQ from Burger King.

All of us maintained small talk until Blake started flirting with Bec again. Knowing Bec, she obviously flirted back. It was pretty awkward for Xavier and I since neither of us wanted to speak. And me being the person who stuck to her word, refused to talk to him unless necessary.

The day went by pretty normal. Andrew and I decided to hang out today later on in the afternoon. I was in my French class which was the last class of the day, when the bell finally rang.

Making my way out of the classroom, I unlocked my locker and exchanged my books. Just as I was heading out, I heard a loud commotion coming from our school's backyard.
