Chapter sixty one six ones

Janice chews on her bottom lip as she waits for Ty to emerge from the bathroom. From the moment he entered their bedroom she knew he had a very rough night and she could see how hard he was struggling to hold himself together as he kissed her good morning.

He had then entered the bathroom and closed the door and her heart ache with compassion for him because she knew that once that door was closed he would fall apart and all those emotions that he has been holding in for all those hours will no doubt come pouring out and she couldn't wait to wrap her arms around him and comfort him.

She had often watched Discovery Health channel and saw how torn apart the doctors were when they lost their patients, yes they were doctors but they were also human and they were the ones that had to deliver the devastating news to the patient's families.

A few minutes later he lift the sheet and slip onto the bed beside her and she wraps her arms around him and hold him close for a few moments without saying anything while he massage her stomach. "You okay kitten?" He whispers in her ear.

"I'm alright; you don't look so good though." She whispers back. "Yeah, It's just been one of those night, you know?" "I know, she whispers kissing his neck, how many?" She asks softly. "Three, a lady, her four months old unborn child and her six year old son." His voice was hoarse with grief.

"I know how much that must have hurt." "You just never get use to it, you know, no matter how many times you see it or experience it. It just cuts you open each time. That man lost his wife and kids all in one night." He sighs heavily.

"I'm never going to forget the look on his face when I told him that. How do you move on from something so horrible? I still haven't gotten over the fact that Kayla deliberately killed my child and I don't know if I ever will. How will he cope with a lost like this....I...." He broke off s tears ran down his cheeks.

"Phew....hmm.... it just reminds me how easily it can be taken away from us you know." "That's why we must treasure every moment we've together." She said kissing his lips softly.

"How did they die?" She asks. "Car crash." "Ouch." "Yeah, I can't even imagine what he's going through right now. Life and love is very precious and delicate and not to be taken for granted." He whispers kissing her passionately.

Tatiana slowly remove her head phone from over her ears as she notice her three brothers standing before her with their hands behind their backs. She slides her laptop off her lap and rests it beside her before darting to the other side of the bed.

"If one of you pulls out a belt from behind you, I'll scream bloody murder." She said holding up her hands in wide eye panic. "Now before you all start beating the Indian out of me it was only a kiss, alright, we only kissed; he wanted to go further but I said no. I also broke off our friendship; I'm never seeing him again. All he wants is to get all up in this and that's not love." She blurts out before they could say anything.

Her brothers exchanges glances before turning their attention back to her. Ty cleared his throat, arch his brow and took a deep breath before speaking. "Well as enlightening as that piece of information was and we'll no doubt be getting back to that in a little while that isn't why we're here." He said smiling.

"We're here to congratulate you on the excellent work you did on you CXC examinations." Caleb adds. "Six ones, very impressive." Fabian shakes his head in admiration. They then remove their hands and each presents her with a gift. "Oh, oooh, my bad, thank you." She chuckles nervously taking her gifts but at the same time wishing she had ask why they were there before opening this particular can of worms.
