Later that night he did as he had the night before, he went home took a shower and called Miss Alice and she gave him an update of the day, he was about to leave when his mom stopped him and gave him a lunch bag with his dinner to take with him.

An hour later he entered Janice's room, he check on faith that was sleeping, he then went and sat beside Janice and shake her gently. "Hey Janice, open your eyes." She moans and looked up at him sleepily. "Where's Faith?" She asks in a weak voice. "She's right here, how are you feeling?" "I'm tired." She whispered and closed her eyes again. "Okay rest."

I made two bottles of formula for Faith and put them in the warmer then dialed my father's number. "Hi son, are you alright?" Dad asks. "I'm okay dad but I'm concerned about Janice, she's still very weak." "Well considering how much blood she lost that's normal. I don't expect her to be up and around for at least another week or so but I think I'll start her on some vitamins in the morning, to boost her energy level." "Thanks dad." "Don't worry son she'll be alright soon and little Faith is getting stronger each day." "Alright, no worries then, thanks again, later dad." I said ending the call.

I took the dish of food from the bag but didn't open it. Instead I went over to the cot and played with Faith little fingers. I felt like a real father coming home from work and visiting his wife and daughter in the hospital, it felt so good, so right, I have always wanted to be a father, and when I found out that Kayla was once again pregnant I thought I was finally going to have a family of my own, a baby of my own. Then I had a front row seat to the destruction of everything I hold dear to my heart; my dream of a child and a loving wife had once again come to an abrupt end.

With tears running down my face I went back and sat in front of the dish but still didn't opened it, instead I drank some of the drinks and placed the bottle back on the table. "No appetite?' Caleb asks entering the room. "No, sick to my stomach actually." I replied sadly. "That's understandable; you just had your heart ripped out of your chest by an evil witch." "Don't call her that." I said tiredly. "Oh come on, you're still defending her, after what she did?" Caleb asks walking over to Faith. "Calling her names isn't going to make me feel better Caleb."

"Are you sure about that, because I could come up with a few colorful names to call that witch." Caleb said scornfully. "Please, don't." "Alright, I'll just sit here quietly and admire this beautiful little princess instead." He said smiling down at her. "It's kind of scary to think of how close this little beauty came to dying. I mean, look how weak her mother is, the girl can hardly move much less take care of her daughter, it's so unfair what happened to them."

Caleb chuckled as Faith gripped his finger. "It's a good thing you found them brother, they both have a second chance at life because of you." "And I have a second chance because of her." I said looking over at Janice.

Caleb looked over at Ty and saw tears running down his face. Walking over to him Caleb put his arm around his brother's shoulders. "I know you're hurting little brother but you'll get through this, I know you will.' "I need some air." I said walking from the room.

The following morning I arrived at work and found Kayla waiting for me in the parking lot. Now a part of me wanted to just walk pass her but I had questions and I needed answers. So I walk towards her and stop inches away from her.

"Hi baby, we miss you." She said rubbing her stomach. "Please come home, baby, please." "Stop." I said and cringe when she come near me. "Not going to happen, do you really think I could live in that house after what I saw there, in....our.....bedroom." I suddenly felt nauseous.
