Raven spent a whole week in bed. Due to the bite from a pureblood, her body was experiencing difficulties in handling such empowerment during the process. A scream woke a couple hundred pairs of sensitive ears in the building simultaneously as she rose from her slumber. Feeling a sting on her foot, she raised her leg up to her chest but gasped at another sharp pain that strained the side of her neck when she exerted a little strength to it. Her palm automatically flew to the source of pain; left with only the echo of Juliet's last words:

He's gonna find someone else—don't end up like me!

I wouldn't have had to worry about Cross finding someone else if Scott was here. An unpleasant thought crossed her mind and she dismissed it in an instant. The sudden presence of a familiar figure surprised her, despite her heightened senses. The face of the person she wanted to see the moment she opened her eyes was granted.

          "Are you alright?"

          "I-I'm fine, thank you."

"Raven," his tone sharpened. He rested his hand over hers, only for her to back away.

"I do not wish to be called by that name, Prince Cross."

He stared at her with his eyes filled with regret and guilt, noticing the change in her tone.

"From now on, call me," she squinted her glassy eyes and attempted to hide under her lashes. She thought she didn't have the right to go against him, who is the reason she's breathing today. It pained her chest to even think about it. "Name me, Cross."
