Logan was pacing back and forth in the apartment of his two friends. He was flustered, frustrated, confused, and conflicted. Roman and Virgil watched with raised eyebrows and small smirks at the pinkness of his cheeks. "Logan, why don't you just go on the date with him?"

"Are you crazy?!"

The two of them reeled back in shock as their typically quiet, intellectual friend snapped rather loudly. "I can't just 'go on the date with him' Roman!!" he continued, pacing with more intensity now. "I don't do romance. I don't deal with emotions I don't understand. I stick with facts, figures, and information, that's who I am. How could I just go on the date with him?"

Logan was clawing his hands through his slicked back hair as he tried to figure out what he was feeling. "You... go meet him?" Roman suggested again.

"How could I do that? I don't operate well when things aren't planned out," Logan said, looking irritated. "I wouldn't expect you two to understand seeing as you've been together for almost four years now. The last time someone's asked you out was years ago."

Virgil and Roman shared affectionate smiles as they laced their hands together. "Maybe you're being a little defensive," the emo of the two said, shrugging.

"I'm not defensive!!"

They jumped as he snapped again. "I'm just being cautious! What if he's a criminal? What if he masterminded the whole thing to find me? What- What if he's colorblind?"

"What if he's colorblind?" Virgil repeated slowly. "I thought I was the anxious one of this friend group. So what if he's colorblind?"

Logan frowned, waving his hands around. "That's so untrustworthy!" he exclaimed. "He could be a criminal. He could be a psychopath. He could be colorblind. He could be very nice. He could have lovely eyes..."

His voice trailed off as Roman and Virgil shared a look at his change in tone. Roman opened his mouth to say something, but Logan continued. "But what if when he sees me, he doesn't like it?" he asked quietly. "What if once he knows me, he's just disappointed?"

His eyes widened with worry as another thought cross his mind. "What if when I see him, I like him?" he murmured. "What if he makes me feel things I don't understand, but doesn't like me and leaves me to fall apart over it?"

"Logan, you need to take a deep breath," Virgil said, standing up and putting a hand on his shoulder comfortingly.

Roman did the same to his other side. "He's right, and I'm personally a good friend of this guy," he reassured. "I think that this will be good for both of you. Please, just try meeting him tonight."

The intellectual of the friends sighed heavily before nodding and getting his shoes on. He'd asked to meet him any time around 5:30 in the park nearby and it was already 5:25. Logan waved goodbye to his friends and started walking, trying to ignore the nervousness in his chest. Once in the park, he pulled out his phone for a picture of the guy he was meeting. Looking around, he breath caught in his throat upon the sight of him. He matched the picture perfectly, and as he happened to look his way, he flashed the most adorable smile Logan had ever seen.

He quickly approached him, tucking his phone into his pocket and sitting down on the bench. The young man straightened his glasses with a nervous smile. "I was worried you weren't going to show up," he admitted why a shy laugh. "Logan, right?"

"Y-Yes, and your name was?" he asked, feeling his heart flutter unnaturally at the way he said his name.

"Oh! Right, I almost forgot, it's Patton!"
