I won't lie to you
I know he's just not right for you

Roman didn't like Logan... He never told Virgil he loved him too... He never initiated affection... He knew his best friend too well not to recognize the hurt in his eyes.

And you can tell me if I'm off
But I see it on your face
When you say that he's the one that you want

"Do you really love him?"

Virgil had looked surprised, shocked even, that the princely man dared to ask him that after he'd been dating his boyfriend for six months. "Of course, Roman! I love him very much!"

Roman didn't comment.

And you're spending all your time
In this wrong situationAnd anytime you want it to stop

He never saw Virgil outside of occasional evenings he didn't spend with Logan. Roman knew that this wasn't making him happy. He didn't need to be told to know.

I know I can treat you better than he can
And any guy like you deserves a gentleman

"Hey Virge! Have I told you I care about you recently?"

Tell me why are we're wasting time
On all your wasted crying
When you should be with me instead

Roman sat leaning against the door, hearing him cry through the wood. He looked down sadly, knowing why he was crying. It made him infuriated that anyone could make him feel like this.

I know I can treat you better
Better than he can

"Virgil..." he murmured one of those nights through the door, looking down at his feet. "Please... let me in..."

There was sniffling, and shuffling, and suddenly the door opened. Virgil was glaring at him with red eyes, his makeup running down his cheeks as the tears stained them. "What do you want, Princey?" he muttered.

Roman's heart broke. Virgil gasped as the prince-like man hugged him tightly. He froze in shock, having not felt any physical comfort or affection from anyone in months. It wasn't as if Logan ever hugged him when he was sad. Roman didn't pull away, holding him close as tears started to drip down his own cheeks. "You deserve so much better..."

His voice was a whisper that made Virgil breakdown in his arms, clinging to him tightly as he sobbed. Roman lead him over to his bed, calming him down as he tucked him in. He could tell he was exhausted as his eyes fought to stay open. The princely man smiled sadly at him as his eyes did slip closed, brushing his bangs out of his eyes before moving to leave. He gasped as a hand tugged at his own. He looked back in shock.

"Please stay..." Virgil whispered, looking up at him pleadingly.

Roman smiled sadly, nodding and moving to lay on the bed next to him, but not under the covers. He blinked in surprise when Virgil turned to face him and looked at him with wide glossy eyes.

"T-Thank you, Roman..." he breathed, a few tears slipping down his cheeks. "I-I don't know w-what's w-wrong me, why d-doesn't he say it back-"

"Shhh..." The princely man shushed him gently, reaching to wipe the tears away. "There's nothing wrong with you. You're the most amazing person I've ever met, and if he doesn't see that then he's blind."

Virgil was falling asleep, breathing something Roman never thought he'd hear from him.

"T-Thank you, Roman... I love you..."

His eyes widened as he looked at him questioningly. "W-What?" he asked, but Virgil had already fallen asleep. Roman just stared at his peaceful face, his heart aching. He smiled sadly, reaching to run his fingers through his hair. "I love you too, Virgil..."

Roman wasn't tired, so he laid there awake for while, just playing with his hair. At some point, the anxious emo reached out and found him, cuddling into his chest. Heat rose to Roman's cheeks as he smiled and wrapped his arms around him.

"I love you very, very much..."

Sorry for making Logan the villain, I actually love that nerd and I don't think he'd ever knowingly hurt his significant other in any of the ships. Also I know there's two different people singing in the video at the top and that it's Nightcore, but it sounds really pretty so I added it. Hope you enjoyed
