AN: Hey guys, just to make it clear a bit, Sam and Ava are not the same age- she's a year younger than Nathan or so.

"Oh, by the way, Sully is coming over soon." Nora said as she kicked off her shoes while Nathan closed the main door with his hip, the grocery bags occupying his hands.

Nathan's brows furrowed as he searched the living room for Ava, "where's Avy? Wasn't she supposed to binge watch her...Harry Potter movies? And not move for the rest of the night?"

Since they have been back from Scotland, Ava found her distraction in tv shows and movies - majority of the day her butt would be glued on the sofa while her eyes never left the tv, and let's not forget how her mouth was always preoccupied with food too.

With a little panic that sparked in Nora's eyes as she took a look around the living room, afraid that her friend sneaked to the bar, she alluringly called out for Ava.

"I'm...I'm in here." Ava's voice was distant and somewhat bleak. Nora and Nathan searched for Ava in her room only to see the bathroom door open, as they crept inside, they were slightly taken aback by the sight of a disheveled Ava sitting on the bathroom floor.

"Ava? What's wrong?" Nora crouched down beside her friend who rested her chin on her knees as she hugged her legs loosely. At the corner of Nathan's eyes, something else caught his attention.

His heart started to throb in his ears as he picked up the pregnancy test stick. "Oh...crap."

"Yup." Ava popped the p as her eyes were glued to the bathroom floor, not daring to make eye contact with anyone.

Nora turned to Nathan only for him to flash the pregnancy stick in her direction and immediately her mouth gaped as her eyes bugged out of her skull.

"You- you're pregnant." Nora said breathlessly and received an eye roll and a scoff from Ava.

"Please tell me something I don't know."

Nathan's feet shuffled to the other side of Ava and sat down, leaning his head against the wall. "I'm...I'm g-gonna be an uncle."

"You're gonna be an uncle." Ava confirmed his words with a nod. "And I'm gonna be a mother." As the questionable words rolled out of her mouth, it felt foreign and somewhat bitter.

Breaking the silence that grew between them, Ava couldn't help but let out a loud sigh followed by a groan, "this kid has to grow up without a dad. What am I going to say when he or she keeps asking about him? I don't wanna do this alone."

As Ava let out what she feared the most, Nathan and Nora grabbed each of Ava's hand in sync, giving it a comforting squeeze.

"You don't have to do this alone, Ava. You never have to." Nora spoke empathetically, "you have me. You also have Sully and Nathan. We're not going anywhere at all."

Then, a twisted smirk popped up on Nathan's face as he bumped his shoulder with Ava's shoulder playfully. "Unless when it comes to changing the diapers, that's completely on you."

Ava couldn't help but snort and Nora was instantly thankful that Nathan was always there to lighten the mood. "Okay but seriously, like what Nora said, you never have to worry about doing this all on your own. We're here for you."
