Courtney nodded. "There's only so much you can do with one person."
I slumped farther into the chair. Someone touched me on the shoulder and I looked up to see Honor.
"I'm sorry for all this," she apologized, then giggled. "But you are going to look so pretty!" Way to be on my side.
"Yeah, we've got to get you ready to impress Will, eh?" Courtney wiggled her eyebrows.
"Um, excuse me. Girlfriend of said person in room." I pointed out, but Honor just laughed.
"But seriously," Courtney continued. "What is up with you two?"
"Yeah really. It's like he turns into some evil mute when he sees you." Ashley said.
"Tell me about it," I grumbled. It was pretty obvious now that Will wasn't acting normal around me. "He hasn't talked to me since Monday."
"So he was talking to you at one point though?" Courtney questioned.
"Yes, a ton! He wouldn't shut up the first part of the day and then after lunch, he was in my art and wouldn't even look at me!"
"Wait Monday? The day I came in late, right?" Honor asked.
"Yep, you tell him you didn't want him talking to creepy new girls?" I joked.
"Nah," Ashley shook her head. "Honor wouldn't do that. Bros before hoes right girls?" She laughed and high-fived Honor above me.
"Your so weird," Morgan said. "Can girls even say that? I mean really."
Ashley shrugged. "Dunno. But you got to admit, Will is totally acting like some PMSing chick [A/N: Tribute to MsRenzybenzy's awesome comment!]."
"True that," Courtney added.
Honor spoke up. "Auden, I'll talk to him. I don't know what his problem has been lately."
"Oh, it's alright Honor. I don't mind that much." Lie, interrupted my inner voice. "I don't even really know him."
She shook her head. "No, he's got to stop this; I don't like it. He's never like this."
"Nope, he's not," Ashley chirped. "But this is a depressing topic. Let's talk about how amazing of a job we did with Auden instead."
With a flair, they spun my chair, and I ended up looking into the mirror hanging on the back of our bedroom door. The makeup made my face glow, my eyes framed in a delicate brown, focusing the attention on them. Large maroon curls spiraled down and lay resting on my shoulders.
"So?" Ashley asked, anxious.
I sighed. "Okay, okay, fine. You guys did a good job," I admitted, defeated.
"YES!" The three girls gave themselves a quick celebration. Courtney turned, giving me an evil grin.
"What?" I was worried.
Her smile grew more pronounced. "Now it's time to choose your outfit."
"You guys are so freaking dead," I whispered maliciously as I once again tried to pull the outfit they had dragged me into down. It was a dark nearly strapless dress, held up only by two thin straps. It was tight at the top and then the silky fabric cascaded freely down once it hit the top of my stomach. It had originally been Courtney's homecoming dress until she found one better. Problem was, I wasn't going to homecoming. I was going to a party. And the dress was still way too freaking short!
The girls chuckled around me, enjoying my pain. I stumbled in Courtney's stupid heels, falling forward. Before I could hit the ground, Ashley's arm darted out and snatched my arm, hauling me back up. "Thanks," I said.
