Wade, Will and the rest of the group joined us. I watched as Will swung his head around, searching, before his shoulders sagged.

Ashley spoke up, "Honor's sick. She said to tell you cause she couldn't get a hold of you."

He swore, "Damn phone."

"Honor?" I whispered to Courtney.

"His girlfriend," she murmured back.

Typical. "Oh."

Courtney gave me a knowing smirk. "First day here and you're already swooning too."

"I am not swooning!"

"Don't worry hon. You've got a couple hundred other girls behind you on it. A few guys too."

As the printer ran, I quietly asked, "What's the story with Wade."

She sighed, "he just did some stuff last year."

"Like?" I pressed.

"Just some shit he shouldn't have done."

I raised an eyebrow and she grimaced. "It's not a big deal. Me and Wade just are just a little shaky from it."

A little shaky. I shook my head. Obviously it was more than shaky. I tried to push the subject, but she wouldn't budge. The secretary handed us my schedule and we exited into the hall.

The corridor, which had been empty only minutes before, now rushed with the throng of students. We were pulled into the hurried current as it raced in front of us. As we fought to stay together, Courtney turned her head to me,
