Chapter 9

Zila
  I headed back down to Gma listening to her talk about Alex and how over protective he was of me, but there was something odd.
  Gma wasn't telling me the whole story

"Your doing such a great job with this pack Muffin" Gma said

"Gma how long has it been since you called me that?" I asked as she looked over at me and smiled

"About four years, but anyways I'm gonna head to bed" Gma said as I walked with her to her house

"Goodnight Gma and thank you for telling me about Alex" I said as I lean down and give her a kiss on the cheek.

"Goodnight Muffin and your welcome" Gma said as I shut her door heading back to the rowdy pack. The mates of the pack were dancing to the music that was playing

"Come on Zila come and dance" Brandon said as I raised a eyebrow at him

"Why should I?" I asked him as I see his face go red a little bit

"I'm kidding" I said as I grab his hand pulled him over to the group and began to dance along with them feeling happy with myself.

"See you got the hang of it" I said to Brandon as I see him doing the dance perfectly
  I felt little arms on my legs as I look down and see the kids pulling me to the floor as I fall over laughing with them climbing on top of me.

"What are you guys doing?" I asked them as they smile at me looking at me with care in there eyes.

"Showing our Alpha that we appreciate her for all she has done" one of them said as I sit up hugging all of them.

"Alright everyone we have a busy day tomorrow let's get some sleep. Specially you youngens" I said as they hug me one more time and ran to their mother's.

"Goodnight Alpha" everyone said as I said "goodnight" back to them heading up to my room.
  I set the box down on my desk feeling something else inside of it seeing a one book and two journals, I just shook my head and out them back in.
  I put them under my desk and head into my bathroom taking a shower. I got out of the shower brushing my teeth as I laid down in bed feeling the warmth of the new sheets and blanket.
  I turn over looking at the picture of me, mom and dad on a trip to the beach.

"Goodnight Mom and Dad, I miss you" I said as I fell asleep feeling content.

Next morning
  I wake up around eight getting up out of bed and changing into some light washed skinny jeans and a red flowly long sheelve shirt that Crystal let me have.
  I slip on the shoes and brush my hair putting it into a pony tail

"Alright time to get this meeting over with" I said as I look at the time seeing as it was only eight thirty. I headed downstairs and making some breakfast as I hear a car door close.
  Chris walks into the kitchen all dressed as I hear a knock

"That must be Alex, can you go answer the door while I got grab the stuff I need?" I asked Chris as he smiled and nodded his head.
  I grab the contract I printed up last night before heading to bed and head to the meeting room hearing Chris and Alex talk

"I could have sworn the Alpha was a she" Alex said

"She is I'm just her Beta" Chris said

"What is your Alpha like because from the stories I have heard from some rouge's passing by your territory seeing as your Alpha burned ten of them" Alex said

"Your working with rouge's?" Chris asked

"No I'm not, when they come into my territory they talk" Alex said as I hear a growl come from the meeting room.
  I open the door looking at the contract one more time

"Alright that's enough you two" I said as I sit down the contract on the table turning to Alex.

"Zila" Alex said as he ran over and picked me up as I hug him tightly

" Mom and Dad said you passed away, how are you here?" I asked as I he sat me down Chris grabbing my arm pulling me over to him

"Please reframe from toughing my Alpha like that so lightly Alpha Alex" Chris said holding back a growl.

"Its okay Chris, this is my brother" I said as I turn to him with a smile

"What Happened? Why did Mom and Dad tell me you passed away?" I asked

"Because I was in danger to you and to Mom and Dad" Alex said

"What do you mean?" I asked

"We both have powers, but yours in more special then mine, but since I was the oldest my powers came sooner then they were suppose to, I told Mom and Dad that I didn't want to hurt you or them so I told them to tell you that" Alex said as I see guilt written all over his face.

"I wish you would have told me. I would have understood why you had to do it" I said

"Where's Mom and Dad?" Alex asked as I stiffen up at the subject Chris coming over checking on me

"It's a long story" I said as he just nodded his head and took a seat looking at me with a worried face.
