KEVIN'S POV

You're all probably wondering what my backstory is and such, but let me tell you it's not that complicated.

Just like Minhui and Jonghui, I lost one of my parents not that different right?

The only difference is that my family hasn't moved on which is explainable but here's the thing, they're putting the blame towards Minhui and just her.

Now that doesn't make sense. She had nothing to do with my dad's death. I don't even know if I should even call him my dad.

Why you ask? Let's put it this way, I was a mistake.

Yeah ever heard of a one night stand? Well thats what happened.

My mom knows for a fact that my dad never loved her actually the only time he noticed my mom was after my mom told him that she was pregnant.

Never got to meet him, never got to see him, I don't even know anything about him besides the fact that he tried to kidnap Minhui's mom and run away with her.

But things went way too far to the point where they both you know..died

What makes Minhui's family different from mine is that her family isn't seeking vengeance, they had enough of fighting and plus who's there to fight?

They don't even know that there's people after them still, until I tell them myself

Call me a traitor or what, but if I feel that something isn't right then I'll fix it even if it includes me turning on my own family

I didn't think like this until I was given my current mission which is to spy on Minhui and her family

As I followed her around more,which I shouldn't have, I started to learn that she isn't that different from me

She lost a parent figure, but she's still able to live completely normal life. She has two brothers who watch her and including her giant family which I'm envy of

Me, I just have my mom and the driver that's it. I don't have really any family or friends

I found Minhui interesting. To be completely honest she's probably more tougher and braver than me

I mean the girl is training her a*s off just to continue her mom's amazing legacy! But what's for me to continue? My father's hatred towards others? No.

That's his problem, not mine. I have zero say in that.

After officially meeting Minhui and properly introducing myself I've decided that I need to make her my ally

Or in this case..protect her? Does that sound to weird?

Don't get me wrong, but if she's being threatened by my own family for something she didn't do she needs someone to protected her 24/7

In order to do that it just needs to be the both of us and nobody else. No one needs to know what my plans are besides me and her

"Kevin, why did all the men drop the mission?" I turned in my chair and saw my mother standing by the door way

"And why did Tao tell me that you're being to nice to Minhui? You should be intimidating her."

Sighing I spun the chair to face her and sat up correctly. Well looks like it's time to start my plan

"Mom, ever heard of the saying 'keep your friends close, but your enemies closer'? That's what I'm exactly doing" she nodded but then looked at me again

"Can I trust you with this Kevin? At least have one-"

"Mom, just trust me on this. Think of me carrying this plan on my own as the first step of me becoming like dad" she had an approving smile then walked over and placed a kiss on my forehead
