Maybe Baekhyun should've realized it earlier.

Chanyeol couldn't have possibly gotten over Kyungsoo that quickly, much less get into another relationship a few days later.

It was no wonder that all that time that he spent hanging out with Chanyeol only got him a cold response.

He should've just broken it off earlier.

And when Chanyeol goes back home from work, he's partially surprised that he's not ambushed by Baekhyun.

Normally Baekhyun would've come up to him, helping him with his bag and all, asking about his day. Or he would've been in the kitchen with his stupid apron on, busy whipping up some wacky new dish.

He shakes the thought away, going up to his room. It's always clean when he comes back home, the desk tidied and the bed fixed up.

But today, it feels unusually neat; empty even.

Except for something on the desk that's out of place.

It's a small, white sheet of paper. (And maybe that little folded corner at the top right is Baekhyun's way of antagonizing his OCD.)

It's okay, but it doesn't taste the same. Baekhyun's pancakes were fluffier and chewier. The pancakes he's eating tastes bland and stale in his mouth.
