As I walked to the bus stop, with Joel, I received a message from my mom: "when you come home darling we will have a very important family meeting, mum xxx". I was really confused why did we need a family meeting, then it hit me- the arguing. There must of been a reason/ reasons why mum and dad are arguing all the while. Me and Joel jumped on the bus and when I arrived home I waved goodbye and walked into the house. Everyone was sat in the living room so I joined them. We sat in silence and I felt the tension rising...
here are the facts:
My mum and dad are getting divorced
My dad is moving to Brighton(which is 4 hours away) with maddie
I'm staying here with my mum
Maddie is moving school
I'm sad
I ran upstairs bawling my eyes out. Eventually, I cried myself to sleep although it was 7pm. Worst day ever.
Joel's PoV
I continuously rang lizzie and her phone just went to answer phone. Maybe it was off? Or something worse? After 2 hours I plucked up the courage to go over there. I caught the 7pm bus and arrived. I irresolutely walked over to the door and rang the bell. This was the first time meeting Lizzie's parents and I wanted to make a good impression. Her mum answered j~Joel lm~ Lizzie's mum
J~ eh hello Mrs D****
Lm~ ah hello you must be Joel please call me Dawn
J~ ok, is Lizzie home?
D(dawn)~ well you see me and her father have just told lizzie and maddie we are having a divorce...(explains everything) lizzie hasn't taken it well, which is completely understandable, but now she is asleep
J~ oh I'm sorry to hear that thank you err eh Dawn

I woke up and got ready. Maddie was leaving next Tuesday(a week today) and I couldn't believe that maddie had to live with him. But Brighton,why!! At least at the hell we all know as school I could see Joel.
Joel's PoV
I needed to do something to cheer lizzie out and get her out of her glum mood. My parents still wouldn't be back till Friday and it was only Tuesday. I decided to plan a party but this time no Jemma. I invited: Callum, Jess, Oli, Yammy, Kyle, Bobby, Lauren, and Lizzie of course. Tonight would hopefully cheer Lizzie up, or put her in a worse mood?....
