Maizy had taken me to Rome for our anniversary. We brought Maggie with us, obviously we stayed at a pet friendly place since we couldn't hide Maggie in a purse anymore. She was much bigger now. Still just as cute though.
"I love you." Maizy broke the silence of the quiet night. She held one hand as my other held Maggie's leash. I think a midnight walk is one of the most romantic things ever. The cold winds and night air were perfect.
"I love you too." I looked over at her. The streetlights reflected on her face, making her glow even more than usual.
"Want to play truth or dare?"
"Maizy, we're not fifteen." I laughed.
"Please?"
"Fine. Go."
"Truth or dare?" She asked me.
"Dare." I said suspiciously. Suddenly I knew exactly what she was doing.
I would say yes even if it wasn't a dare.
Maizy got down on her knee and pulled out a small box.
"I dare you to marry me."
