Kai One Shot

You smiled weakly at his cheekiness. How could you be feeling better when you were about to leave someone who you had loved with all your life? Of course you missed him, the feeling was like an constant stomach ache that never seemed to go away.

Although you were heartbroken but as much as you want him to fulfill his dreams, you knew you had to leave him immediately.

"Jongin-ah, we need to talk." you said, not looking at him.

He lifted up your head, to force you to look him in the eyes. "What is it jagiya?" he asked in a sorrowful tone as if he already knew what you were planning to say next

You bit you bottom lips and mustered all your courage, you said "I don't think we are suitable for each other. You're always so occupied with your work. I feel so lonely. I need someone who can always be by my side and take care of me ... I think ... I think, it is the best that we break up."

Kai tried to hug you but you pushed him away.

"Mianhae jagiya ... I promise I will spend more time with you after our comeback show next week, ok? Just give me one more chance please ..." Kai begged you desperately.

You turned your back to him to hide your already tear-stained face. You took a deep breath and recomposed yourself when you said the last few sentences "You always say next week! How long am I suppose to wait? I am tired of waiting and I just want someone who is able to give me all his time, it is something you cannot give me. Let's just break up."

"Ok, I get it." Kai whispered, hurt. He started to leave.

"Mianhae Kai and I will always love you."

You said in your heart, not wanting to give yourself away.

You broke down into a flurry of tears as you heard Kai closed the door behind you. You did not care how your make up was smeared all over your face due to endless tears taht was rolling down your cheeks. All you knew was that your relationship with Kai had just ended, right in your own hands.

Your heart was torn into pieces and so was Kai's but you would not tell him the real reason why you left him. You need to convince him that you did not love him anymore.

For the next few days, you did nothing but shut yourself in your room and looked through all the photos taht you had taken with him. All the memories and all that was left. From the first time the both of you met to the last selca you have taken with him. Everywhere seemed to be full of him.

He did not call you neither have yu heard any news about him. One thing you were glad about was that the rumors had die down.

You knew that he was having a comeback show which is going to be broadcasted live on television. You did not dare to watch it as you were afraid that it would make things even worse.

A drop of tear rolled down yoyr cheeks as you remembered Kai dancing for you at your last birthday party. He was ever so sweet to you.

You felt your phone ringing in your pocket and you picked it up. It was D.O. You had no idea why he called you and you thought it might be something urgent as you knew they were in the middle of their performance.

"(your name)! Hurry and come to our comeback show venue now! Kai is in trouble and we need your help! I will meet you at the entrance." He hang up the phone quickly, without giving you the time t9 respond.

You were flabbergasted but you quickly grabbed your coat and rushed out of the house. All you could hear was D.O. saying "Kai is in trouble and we need your help!"

You were really worried about Kai and you just wanted to be by his side at that point of time.

After what felt like eternity, you finally reached the venue. D.O. was already there waiting for you. He quickly pulled you into the venue and the both of you ran all the way until you reached the bottom of the stage.

"YAH! What on earth are you trying to do?!" you questioned him furiously as you saw Kai perfectly fine on the stage.

D.O. smiled at you mysteriously and went on stage while saying "You will see ..." *wink wink*

You could not take your eyes off Kai since you laid your eyes on him. He was just too perfect. You sighed as you knew he was your drugs, an addiction, overdose.

MC: How are you feeling now Kai-ssi? Seeing all your fans gathered here?

Kai smiled his killer smile and said: I want to thank all our fans for their support and for being here today. Sarangahae~~ But I just have one regret.

D.O.: What is it? Maybe we can help you fulfill it. *EVIL GRIN*

Kai: It is actually true that I have a girlfriend, I love her very much and I hope you all will understand. She is very important to me. I just want her to know that I will always love her and she can rely on me when anything happen because I will be here for her. No matter how hard things are, we can get through it together. I wanted to invite her here today, but ...

D.O.: Ah, that is very easy, she is already here.

D.O. pointed at you. Kai's eyes lit up wthe moment he spotted you at the bottom of the stage. He came forward and held your hands tightly as he declared proudly to the crowd "This is my girl."

Now you know you're the most important thing to him, you realized how silly you were as you cried tears of joy.

As you embraced him, you whispered into his ears "Oppa saranghae~"

"Pabo (your name), how could you think that you could escape from me just like that?" Kai looked at you straight into the eyes, "you know once you Jong In, you can't Jong Out right?"

You laughed a watery laugh and nodded in approval.

Kai hugged you even tighter and spoke in a voice only the two of you can hear, "I never want to let you go."
