"Toby you got a package from a...Spencer...Hastings" Stacy said. She handed her boyfriend the big box
Toby gulped. Spencer Hastings? As in his ex. He took the box from Stacy "Thanks Stace, Ill open it" he smiled. He wondered what Spencer had sent him. Last time he heard from Spencer was about a year ago when he was invited to Hannas and Jordans wedding. Spencer changed a lot. She cut her hair to her shoulders, she wore less makeup and wore glasses. It really suits her well. After that he hasnt heard from her. He tried to get in contact with her but she never picked up the phone or answer her emails. He even reached out to the gang but they all had the same story
"Spencer is away". He believed them and shrugged it off, so it didnt bother him. He goes into his office and opens the box. When he opens it he gasp. It was a blanket. Not just any blanket it was the blanket his mother made for him before she died. He thought he had lost it forever. He couldn't believe his eyes. He checked in the box and saw a note
"Dear Toby,
Happy Birthday. I wish I was there to help celebrate but Im stuck in school. I know you must be shocked by your gift. That day I came to Rosewood I went to your house to ask your dad was the best present to get you. He went into the attic and said when he was cleaning he found it and told me to give it to you. I know how much you loved it since it was made by your mom. I hope you love it and I love you. I always have and always will and cant wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Happy 25th birthday. Love always - Spencer.
When he was done reading the letter he took jis blanket and put it on the bed. He had to thank her in person. His heart was whole. He wanted to see her. He was falling for her again. This just made him fall for her again.
"Stacy Im going to Rosewood, Ill be back" He said running out the door and to his car and sped off
Maybe this is his chance to make things right with her. He doesn't care if she was dating someone else, he wanted to see her. It took him 2 hours to get there.

He finally got to her house and parked the car. When he got out he walked to her door. He took a deep breath. What would he do? What would he say? "Hey Spencer I got your gift and I wanted to say I love you, its you I want". He shook his head. After thinking he knocked and the door opened
"Alison?" he said.
Her eyes widen and closed the door fast

"Hey who was that?" Emily asked
"Toby". Everyone stopped what they were doing.
"Toby is here??? Why??" Caleb asked
"I-I dont know" Ali said.
"Did anyone tell him about Spencer" Hanna wiped a tear from her eye.
"not me i couldnt do it" Caleb said
"Hes gonna find out eventually, lets just tell him" Emily said
They all nodded and let Toby in.
"Hey guys?" Toby said
"Hey man" Ezra said. They led him to the couch and sat down
"Happy Birthday first of all" Aria smiled
"Thanks, how come everyone is here and where is Spencer, I got her gift and I wanted to thank her. I still have feelings for her" He said. Everyone frowned and looked down
"Whats going on?" Toby said
"Toby, there's something you should know" Jordan said. Toby had noticed all of Spencers favorite things were out and around.
"What?"
"Toby, um 2 years after Hannas and Jordans wedding, Spencer died"
"No theres no way, how did i get the gift then"
"Spencer asked me to deliver it so it can arrive on before she died" Emily said. Tobys heart dropped to his stomach. He couldn't believe what he was hearing
"Why am I just hearing about this. Why didnt anyone tell me" He said with tears coming down his face
"Because Spencer didn't want you to come. She wanted you to live your life to the fullest and not focus on her" Hanna explained
"How did she die?" he cried
"She had cancer Toby, her heart was too weak and it gave out"
Toby shook his head and left slamming the door. He got into his car and drove away.
Thats why she hadnt called. Thats why everyone said she wasn't around. Toby pulled up to the graveyard and looked for her tomb. He eventually found out. She was buried three rows next to his mom. He went to Spencers and read the tomb.

"Why didnt you tell me, you know you can tell me everything" "I should've stayed with you. Breaking up with you was the worse decision of my life and I will always regret it"

He looked up and saw Spencer. She was wearing all white.
"Spence"
"Tobes please dont cry, Im in a better place"
"why did you tell me you had cancer. I couldve stayed"
"I couldn't keep you from Rosewood, you loved your job and I didn't want to get in the way"
"I shouldnt have done that, now you are gone"
"Did you get the gift"
"I did, thank you so much for it" he smiled.
Spencer hugged him tightly and kissed him. he closed his eyes and kissed back. when he opened his eyes she was gone. He placed flowers on her grave and his mom and left
