In this blank room
I know beauty is
Within these walls.
The beauty may not be
The walls themselves,
But there is something
More beautiful contained within.
You, you are the beauty
That lies within these walls.
Side by side, you calm
The wilderness in my heart.
You, you are my greatest
Discovery: you bring light
To my darkness, bathing
The world in color.
Smiling to myself,
I hold you close
And it's then I know
That I can die at peace.
You are my light,
My center, my other half,
And I love you
With every breath I take.
