I can't stress this enough, if you post spoilers be it in this book or book 1, I shall block you. Don't spoil the fun for others. Yes, you can encourage them to keep reading, but don't blatantly spoil it for them.

"To blame... you're not to blame,"Peter quickly corrects and clears his throat again, picking up a glass of water to drink.

"Ah,"Lexis replies walking back to his seat.

Maeve who stayed back along with peter's assistant without being told to but knowing to, grins.

"Olivia how do we fix this?"Karen asks quickly changing the topic.

"Well people don't care that she wasn't the main fault, they only care about the outcome which in this case is bad. Even if proven not guilty,"Olivia states.

"So what do we do?"Nathan asks.

"Maeve in your opinion will this lead to an FBI investigation?" Lexis asks.

"Yes as there's the corruption of a number of senators involved and her possible abuse of power,"Maeve states.

"The announcement of my dads run for the White House is in a few days, we can't allow this get out of hand,"Lexis says his voice filled with concern.

"The department of Justice will also most likely look into it, right Lea?" Olivia asks.

"Right,"Lea replies quietly.

"So my dad can get implicated too?"Lexis asks.

"Not can, he will, it's unavoidable,"Maeve states.

"Why?"Nathan asks.

"He owns the company. Even if he didn't sign the deal it's impossible for him to be left out of it considering he is planning on running for the race,"Maeve explains.

"But we can't have that,"Lexis says.

"If he falls with this so does the company meaning we'd be losing not just the presidency but the company too. Basically everything my dad has ever worked and lived for,"Lexis exclaims.

"Isn't there anything we can do?"Nathan asks forehead creased with worry.

Peter glares at Lea.

Lexis pretends to be in deep thought.

"Do you have any suggestions?"Lexis asks Nathan.

"I'm studying medicine not business you know I'm not good with these things, don't you have any solutions?"Nathan asks Lexis.

Everyone glances at Lexis.

"Let me get this straight the issue here is my dads association to the company right?" Lexis asks.

"Right," Olivia replies.

"So if he has no association with it..."Lexis starts causing Olivia's eyes to light up.

"If he has no association to the company that lessens the impact," Olivia says snapping her fingers together.

"How does that help?"Nathan asks confused.
