"My phone," Lexis says to Maeve. They were currently in a private hospital room where tests where being ran on Lexis. Maeve had promised not to call his family and inform them if he agreed to go to the hospital which he agreed to.

Maeve hands it over to him.

"You should go represent me at the Meeting," Lexis says holding the phone in his hand.

"But..." Maeve starts.

"Or I could get myself discharged and go," Lexis says placing his hands on the drip inserted into his arm.

"I'll go," Maeve replies in defeat.

Lexis nods and waits for her to leave before placing a call.

The line goes through but no one speaks.

"Karen," Lexis says.

But gets no reply. He sits up propping his pillow with his back to the beds headboard.

"It's the first time you've gotten mad at me," Lexis says.

Still silence.

"I should have called you," He finally says.

Silence.

"I'm in the hospital," He says.

"What?! What's wrong with you? Why are you in the hospital?! Is that why you haven't contacted me since you left? What did the doctor say was wrong? I'll take the next flight and come see you," The questions and statements keep pouring one after another.

"You don't need to come, I'm okay now," Lexis says knowing he had hit her soft spot.

"Are you sure? I can come over," She says sounding concerned.

"You still have a lot to help me with over there. I'm okay I guess I over exerted myself," Lexis says.

"This is why I need to be there you keep over working when I'm not around. When I arrive I'll make sure you go on a month's break," She says.

"A month? Do you want Peter to revoke your daughter in law rights?" He asks.

"You seem to forget that your dad loves me," She says.

"He loves his company more," Lexis says as a doctor steps in.

"Karen my appointment just came in, I'll call you later, I promise," He says cutting the phone.

The doctor looks over his vitals and stands next to his bed.

"How are you feeling?" The doctor asks Lexis.

"Good," Lexis replies.

"Is this the first time this has happened?" The doctor asks.

"No," Lexis replies.

"How many more times has this occurred?" The doctor asks.

"About six months for the head aches but the bleeding started a month ago," Lexis says.

"And you didn't go see a doctor?" The doctor asks.

"I assumed it was due to over working," Lexis says.

"Hmm, have you been taking any medications apart from Chroloxilin?" The doctor asks.

"No, why?" Lexis asks raising an eyebrow.

"We ran some tests on you and found traces of Xylex, Dertikloxine and Quiniciline," The doctor says.

"What are those?" Lexis asks.

"Drugs no human should be taking for as long as you might have," The doctor says sitting down next to him.

"Why?" Lexis asks.

"Xylex and Dertikloxine are drugs originally created for ptsd patients and as an anaesthesia which are extremely addictive with serious side effects. Hence a ban was placed on their being prescribed or used without approval from a court of law," The doctor says intertwining his fingers in his thighs.

"What side effects?" Lexis asks.

"They tend to mess with memories and enforce amnesia on episodic memories. It's now mainly used by top secret service agents in dire situations to prevent the enemy camp from getting information. If abused, it leads to a numbing of certain cells that can cause brain asphyxia leading to death if you try to get out of it. Thankfully I found traces of Quinciline which numbs it's deadly effect," The doctor says.

"You said it's addictive but how come I had no sign of addiction?" Lexis asks.

"It's called a silent killer for that reason, unlike most abused and addictive drugs it shows no sign of addiction until you stop taking it or reduce its consumption. Once you stop taking the drug it causes severe head pains and bleeding from the nose like you experienced for about half a year and then death but seeing as it was mixed with Quinciline as long as it's stopped fast it shouldn't lead to Asphyxiation. Are you sure you didn't take any?" The doctor asks.

"The only drug I've been taking is Chroloxilin which my psychiatrist in England recommended," Lexis says deep in thought.

"That's weird, I know for a fact Chroloxilin doesn't have those in it and shouldn't give your symptoms..." The doctor says deep in thought.

"Can I see it?" The doctor asks.

"It's not here with me, it's in my office, I'll have it sent to you," Lexis says to which the doctor nods.

"You said you found traces not a large amount?" Lexis asks.

"That's what makes this strange, once we get the Chroloxilin from you and redo the tests then I'll give you a conclusive diagnosis as soon as possible," The doctor says.

"Make sure no one finds out about this, not even my family," Lexis says tapping his fingers against the bed.

"Don't worry I don't intend on losing my license," The doctor replies smiling.

"When can I get discharged?" Lexis asks.

"I'd prefer to have you placed under observation," The doctor says.

"That's not an option, the sooner I leave the faster you can get the Chroloxilin and I can get my answers," Lexis says.

Hmmm

I've gotten lots of messages about a certain book which so far has 7chapters with the same character names as mine. A lot of people have contacted me about her plagiarizing my work.  I have messaged the author who has told me various lies before finally stating the truth that it was inspired by mine and being extremely rude. Like I told her I don't yet consider it plagiarism but I have my eyes on it and if it becomes plagiarism then I'll take action and let you all know. Thank you all for always having my back on things like this. I'm not saying the books name as I have no intention of helping her promote it so if you know the book don't.
Now to the next chapter:-)
