Reunion

Chapter 26 - Move Over Princess

Clarke still stood by the rover even after a few minutes had passed since Bellamy left. She couldn't believe what just happened.

"Clarke?!" Abby yelled. Clarke had to snap out of it and focus. She came back here for something... what was it? Oh - the rover.

Clarke finished uncovering the rover and got in to pull it up in front to meet the others. Clarke, Kane, and Abby were going to take the rover to scope out where the ship could possibly be while the others started settling in and brining all of the supplies and personal items back to camp from the bunker. After being cooped up for 6 years, it was apparent that everyone wanted to make a home out of Clarke's camp.

Clarke pulled the rover up beside Kane and Abby who were standing there waiting.

"What took you so long?" Abby asked Clarke.

"Oh, I uh - "

"Move over princess, I'm driving" Bellamy said as he approached the driver side door.

"You are not going" Clarke said.

"Yes. I am. You need a good shot with you and although I haven't had the need to shoot anything in 6 years, I can guarantee my aim is still better than yours" he said with a smirk.

"Bellamy is right Clarke. I need him by my side" Kane said as he approached.

Clarke sat there for a moment and rolled her eyes as she moved to the passenger seat. Bellamy crawled in the drivers seats and Kane and Abby got into the back of the rover with all of their packs.

"It feels good to be back behind the wheel" Bellamy said as he pushed on the pedal. Clarke just looked at him. No emotion came across her face. What was he playing at? Are we just going to pretend that little encounter didn't happen?

"Don't worry. There will be more later" Bellamy said, smiling, as he looked towards Clarke.

Clarke froze. Did she say that out loud or is Bellamy a mind reader now? Clarke said nothing. She looked at him, then broke their eye contact and looked out the window as Bellamy drove into the woods. "Let's focus on finding Madi" she said.
