Chapter 14 - When He Hears You Sing

Jason's P.O.V.
I walk past the kitchen but freeze. There is the light sound of music but I can hear (y/n) over it. I slowly peak into the kitchen and see she's dancing around. The music was just loud enough I didn't have to worry about disturbing her. I was about to leave her to her music when a new song comes on. I freeze in my place as she looks at where her music is coming from. She moves over to it and changes it stopping to listen to the new song.
She stops as the radio people announce what song would be next. She smiles and goes back to chopping "this is a good station and it plays tons of different genres," she mumbles to herself. I lean backwards against the door as the music starts to play. She laughs softly and starts to sing along.

I stare at her surprised at her song. She makes it sound so sweet. I didn't mean to stop and listen to her. I was just to check up on her and make sure she's okay. What am I suppose to think with that kinda song playing? Is that how she thinks?

Micheal's P.O.V.
It was early in the morning when I heard soft music coming from her office. Slipping out of bed I rub my bare arms. It was chilly but I enjoy the light chill. Going to her office I look around for her. I see her sitting at the table leaning back in her chair, her hair falling over the back of her chair. I slowly open the door a bit more and lean on the frame. The song playing ends and a new one starts.
She laughs leaning back nods to the beat. "I can't believe I'm about to sing after so long," she mumbles making me smile. I have never heard her sing or even hum so this will be interesting and hopefully nice. Lots of people think they can sing but sound like drowning rats. I freeze when words come from both her music and her.

I have heard singers who are professionals and people who sound like drowning rats. She sounds like an angel or a very beautiful singer. I am suprised she could sound like this. I enjoy her singing just like I enjoy her voice. I slowly slip back out enjoying her voice that still is singing softly.
