I barely got any sleep last night. Codys words were clattering around in my mind all night and quite frankly, it gave me a headache that I still have now, just waking up.

Cody's sprawled out across the other side of the bed, laid flat on his stomach but his head turned away from me;,his eyes closed; his body relaxed. I couldn't help but lay there and stare at the back of his head, the way his loose, short, messed up rings fell.

The sound of a door slamming downstairs abruptly caught our attention as Codys head suddenly shot up, his eyes looking towards the partially opened door. At first, I generally thought he was being robbed. But, 1) Who robs a house this early in the morning? and 2) His parents voices commenced downstairs meaning it can't be a robber.

At this point, I didn't know which was worse.

Cody turned to face me, dark stains under his eyes to show how tired he is, but he still looked beautiful, and I couldn't help but admire it.

"Cody, are you up?" His mom calls from the bottom of the stairs. Cody suddenly jumped up and slammed his door closed. He fell against it, letting out a huge sigh.

"They weren't supposed to be home until tomorrow." Cody panics as he rushes towards me and takes my hand, quickly helping me out of the bed. "Bella, I know this is the last thing you want to here right now, but you need to hide." He laughs as he rushes me towards the bathroom.

"Cody.." His mom suddenly knocked on the door, causing Cody to place his hand over my mouth for a moment. "Cody, open the door." She sighs.

"I'm getting changed, hold on!" He yells back before taking his hand away from my mouth and laughing under his breath. "I'm sorry, I'll be two seconds." He whispers as he closes the door and walks away.

I heard him rush for something on the floor before sighing and opening the door. "You weren't supposed to be home until tomorrow." He snaps, his voice sounding harsher than usual. Maybe this is how he always is with his parents.

"We finished our work early so we could come home." She says, her voice sounding a lot clearer meaning she's entered the room. "Have you just woke up?" She asks.

Cody pauses for a moment, so in that moment, I walked over to the bath tub and sat against the edge of it. "Um, yes?" He responds, making it sound more of a question rather than an answer.

His mom sighs, loudly before responding. "It's 2pm! You shouldn't be sleeping in this late, it's not good for you." Then Cody sighed, his voice becoming clearer, meaning he's closer to the bathroom door. "You cant go to sleep so early and wake up so late. I'm not having it."

"I can do what I want, just relax." Cody replies, his voice a little calmer. "Besides, I'm the one that's getting less sleep and you're the grouchy one. I think you're the one who needs to go earlier, don't you?"

"Don't talk to me like that." She threatens, which causes Cody to sigh again. "You need to take your meds, I'll go get them for you." She says.

"No!" Cody suddenly panics. The handle suddenly shook, meaning he's holding on to it. Panic suddenly kicked in when realisation hit me. Of course his meds would be in the bathroom. "I don't need them."

"Yes you do. Cody, move." She sighs as she attempts to get in but he shook his head again, still holding onto the bathroom door. "What are you hiding?" She suddenly asks.
