Words: 4630

Couple: Demitri Inou/Dakota Bailey/Bay Donovan Blu

Notes: I am 100% sure this isn't the threesome you guys were expecting. Just want you to know this is NOT CANON. This is an alternate universe scenario, a what if that could have happened. Remember the end of Puppet when Vinet brought both Dakota and Demi out of the bunker cell? Well, if Demi hadn't of fought back and helped Dakota escape, this is what would have happened. I wrote this mainly for yheartsoandalovei and myself because we were both curious about what could have happened, so yea. Have fun. If you're a youngin you definitely shouldn't read this.

I wasn't surprised that Dakota was so scared, even if he was trying to hide it. Being in the middle of the lion's den so to speak would have anyone panicking, and I was no different. All I comprehended was that we had to get out before something irreversible happened.

I promised Dakota we would get out, forced a smile to keep him calm, but he could easily see through me, which made it even harder. Neither of us could sleep well, I'd taken to holding him at night just to keep him a little more protected and secure, and he seemed to appreciate it, so I didn't stop.

It was morning, Dakota was asleep curled against me, our legs tangled together and his face against my chest, hands in loose fists in the fabric of my shirt. He was, admittedly, adorable, and I tried to entertain the idea that he was my real brother, scared from a nightmare that big brother was protecting him from.

"Stay asleep, kid," I whispered, "None of this exists when you're sleeping."

I was pondering how long we'd been there, a week maybe, when I heard a knock at the door. It startled Dakota awake, eyes bleary and unfocused as he clung to me and I sat up, glaring at the door as it opened, showing Vinet in her heels and tight skirt, giving a fake smile when she saw me awake.

"You've been summoned, puppet. You and your friend."

I bristled at the mention of Dakota, who was rubbing at his eyes, "What for?" he asked, and Vinet narrowed her eyes.

"You dare question me?"

"Well why are we being summoned?" Dakota asked, and Vinet snarled, so I stood and yanked Dakota with me.

"I said to keep quiet and let me do the talking," I hissed and he pouted.

"But you never talk or question them!"

"Because I know what they'll do if I'm defiant! Just listen to me for once?"

Dakota bowed his head and nodded as I turned to Vinet, who waved for me to follow. Dakota stayed close to me thankfully, glued against my side as we rode the elevator up to the empty conference room.

The panic didn't really hit until we left the conference room and down the hall, stopping in front of a familiar door with their insignia carved into it. Blu's room.

"No," I said, stepping back and pushing Dakota behind me, "Why is Dakota here? What's going on?"

"Get in the room," Vinet said lowly, "Before I get mad."

"Let Dakota stay in the bunker, he doesn't-."

I was quickly silenced when Vinet lifted her leg and kicked her heel into my gut, dropping me from the sudden sting, gasping.
