Imagine: Sam likes you and you like Sam but neither of you make a move. One day when you're on a solo hunt while the winchesters are doing research on Lucifer, you Skype Sam and you say something that makes him unable to hold back a smile.
You: "hey Sammy. How's the research going?"
Sam: "hey (y/n). It's not so well. How's the werewolf hunt?"
You: "it's pretty good. I finally got a lead on him. Where's Dean?"
Sam: "he went to bed."
You: "makes sense. You should go to bed too it's already 2:00 am. You can take a break to sleep Sammy, the world will still be screwed tomorrow. You need that cute face to be rested up."
Sam: *internally* she called me cute! Yes!
Sam: "yeah you're probably right. Get some sleep too. I'll talk to you again tomorrow (y/n). Good night."
